Soloed it on my baby, Androktasia. EBs only - AVs are not my style.
Had a major WTF when Tassie died vs Trapdoor. o_0 Finally dragged him out into the hall away from his doubles and he went down easily.
Didn't even get close to death on the two bosses in the final mission. Cleared the two nearest portals and then pulled the EBs around the corner one by one. I really should have tried to clear the room after I was done.

Didn't try them as AVs on my Claws/Regen...he's tough, but not THAT tough.
I'm gonna give it a go on my BS/DA (whose build is similar to Werner's Kat/DA) at some point soon.
@Pinny: People being jealous of others doing something they cannot amuses the hell out of me. Because your scrapper cannot solo an AV does not mean it can't be done. Please post again saying all our accomplishments are ego stroking lies, I need a good chuckle. I've soloed a number of AVs myself with my BS/DA scrapper, and I'm not even one of the people who have it down to a science.

I solo'd it set to AVs with my KM/Ela scrapper.
Trapdoor was a breeze, I didn't mess with the clones, I just attacked until he dropped.
I went around and beat all the Rikti portals and Rikti, then I had to separate Weakened Honoree from Captain Holtz and pull him to the other room. Captain Holtz doesn't like to leave that room so that was fine by me.
Weakened Honoree took a LOOOONG time to drop with no temps/inspires. Luckily you don't have to completely defeat him, and he doesn't seem to ever use Unstoppable thank god.
Captain Holtz was a little more annoying with all the debuffs, but luckily takes the full energy damage I was dishing out with much resistance.

Back to topic then:
I did it with EBs on for the first time on my Kat/Inv because I didn't want to run into any nasty mission-reset requiring surprises (psy damage AVs, for instance). Following runs on other characters also did with EBs on for the sake of speed. Guess I'll do it with AVs on at some point later, then.

Anyone else able to just bumrush him like that? I did it with a KM/SD so I wouldn't think it's my DPS, but .. :x
I did it with 4 of my scrappers so far and I don't even notice the clones giving him regen

You may want to refresh yourself on what the thread is about. The very first sentence in the thread was, "OK...who else was set to AVs and soloed it?" It's the topic of the conversation. It was the topic of the conversation before you badmouthed everyone, and it remains the topic of the conversation still. This thread isn't about you. Perhaps you should take your own advice and let it go.
Edit: Ah, you were probably responding to the post by Claws and Effect. In that case, you probably should have actually responded to that one. Linearly, your post was below Reverence's. Threaded, your post was in response to Reverence's. So it's easy to assume your response was in regards to the post you responded to. Maybe it was, but maybe it wasn't. If it wasn't, I apologize, and you may just want to be more careful about which post you respond to.

I was just calling it like I saw it.
Seems to me that someone who says something can't be done, and that anyone who claims to have done it is just stroking their ego is probably a little jealous. And I'm also assuming that since he has that stance on it, he has probably never done it himself.
For the record, no one ever said soloing AVs was possible on an SO build. In fact, every thread on the topic is written and responded to with the understanding that soloing AVs with a scrapper is something done by heavily IOed characters, and is not something that should be commonly expected of any given player.
It IS possible to do, that has been proven repeatedly by many players. But, it is NOT something any random scrapper with an SO build is going to go out and do. It requires quite a bit of forethought and build planning, and it isn't successful 100% of the time. I can't even remember how many times I've faceplanted making AV soloing attempts before I finally succeeded at it.
Every AT in the game is capable of AV soloing with the right build, and actually, it is easier to do with an AT that has debuffs available to it. A Rad/Sonic defender that is built for it can solo an AV not only safer, but faster than most scrappers.
This thread here was simply talking about something that scrapper players like to do to test their build and push the limits of what can be done. No one was being negative in the slightest until Pinny came in and posted his derisive comments essentially calling us all liars, and I felt the need to respond to that.
On topic:
I didn't end up trying it with my BS/DA. I was running short on time before work so I left them as EBs and just blasted through it. With as easy as they went down as EBs I'm pretty confident I could have taken them as AVs, but it might have taken a few attempts.

I never meant to make anyone jealous either, because with everything in this game, I doubt I was the first and I doubt I'll be the last.
I solo'd Trapdoor with my ill/rad/psi, DM/SR, FM/WP and KM/Ela... I never noticed any regen, maybe a tad more then a typical EB, but nothing out of the ordinary. I guess it depends on your DPS and burst damage. Maybe a Claws scrapper with low burst damage but high DPS would take longer then a FM or KM? Not sure, but I can't wait until this hits the Flashback arcs.

On my kat/regen (after my respec) i managed to down trapdoor while only killing 1 clone, and without using the lava, or pulling him outside, and on honoree and the vanguard guy i just wiped out the first two portals, hit MoG, and IH, and jumped right in. Downed the vanguard guy, and proceeded to pound on honoree for quite some time.
He hits like a mack truck, so i just doubled up DA, and when he hit dull pain, i hit dull pain, and got him down. All in all a pretty good fight, and a great test of my new build
I did this arc the other night with my Claws/Dark Armor scrapper with the game set to no AVs and I got my butt kicked several times by Trapdoor and Weakened Honoree as just EBs!
This thread has prompted me to work out a new build for my scrapper!
That first mission was awesome. Did anyone else kill everything in the map.. and then swim out hoping to kill the octopus arms in the water?
