Where to place healing uniques on a /WP?

With i19 coming soon and the respec I am stuck deciding where to place the three unique IOs from the healing sets. Put them in Health or in Fast healing?

Second question: is there a good reason for the Miracle unique to be in health or fast healing instead of placing it in RttC to make a complete set and get the Psi defense bonus? This would leave two slots in the Mule power (health or fast healing) instead of the usual three. I assume that unique does not buff the healing of a power at all.

Thanks.

Put them in the (preferrably auto or a toggle you will use all the time) power that gives the least total un-enhanced HP/s. This would be Health, for most builds.

If you are going for a set bonus, putting Numina's unique in RttC is fine. If you were to slot Miracle unique in Fast Healing, however, you would be missing out on some regeneration if you are tight on slots in your build.

Uniques, procs, and global IOs that give a global or proc bonus and enhance a power will say what they enhance in Mids'. The two I can think of are Steadfast Protection and Luck of the Gambler.

There are a few things to keep in mind when you're deciding where to slot procs of all types:
  • How often do I use the power?
  • At what level is the power available, and how much do I care about my performance when I exemp below that level?
  • What's the base value of the power in question, and how important is it to me to enhance it? Can I save slots by putting that proc in a power with a lesser base value? (Because procs don't enhance the power itself and don't care what the power's value is.)

With all of that said, I'd say the answer to your question in I-19 is almost definitely Health, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Health will be added to your build at level 2, so no matter what level your proc is, you'll get full benefit from it no matter how far you exemp.

Health also has a lower base value than Fast Healing, so it's less important to enhance the power itself.

Given that you're unlikely to turn RttC off for more than two minutes at a time, though, there's no good reason not to slot the full six Miracle in it if that's what you want to do.

RttC is the only power out of the choices you have that can slot that set that will benefit from all of the enhancing values. So, if you were to slot the full set, that would be best place based on getting the most out of the set.

Something to keep in mind, though, is the recovery proc won't work unless there is a mob around due to how the power works. Its not that big of a deal because you only need it on when using end and not standing around. Just thought I'd let you know before you look at your attributes and see it not being activated.

Another thing to wonder about is if it will stop working once you are out of range of all mobs due to the way they changed proc powers to turn off when the toggle is turned off. I know the toggle isn't off but it is inactive when a mob isn't in range.

Personally, I'd find another source of those bonuses and put the miracle rec proc in health so it will always be on regardless of what's going on.

How I did it...

Regenerative Tissue Unqiue was slotted into Health.

Miracle Unique was slotted into Fast Healing

Numina Unique was slotted into High Pain Threshold, a long with a Numina Heal, Numina Heal/END, a lvl 50 Gen Heal IO, and the two +3% Defense IOs.

Don't know your build, so maybe you were able to get more slots into FH and/or Health. I kept them one slotted.

RTTC is available at level 16 yeah?

Put the healing uniques in RTTC and you can have them work even when exemped down to level 11 when foes are in range

Put them in a passive power and you'll have them work at level 7, 17, and 27, respectively (regen, miracle, numi), assuming you got the lowest level IO and the passive you put them in are available at those levels.

The uniques work as long as you have access to the power. The level of the actual IO doesn't matter. If you aren't concerned with set bonuses then slot them all in Health. That way you will have the their bonuses available at all levels.

I however 3 slotted most of the regen passive powers for the +HP bonuses so I ended up spreading them around. I went with 3 Numina in Fast Healing (unique, heal, and heal/end), 3 Miracles in Health (unique, heal, and heal/end), and the Regen unique in Health as well.

Not sure I would put it on RttC though... there has been a few times I've got detoggled and forget to turn it back on. Health and FH for sure and maybe HPT

Uniques go into auto powers. They're too good to not have up 100% of the time. That includes Fast Healing, Health, Stamina, Quick Recovery.

I'd stick them in health, and leave Fast Healing for regular +healing enhancements unless you plan to 6 slot it and put all of a set in there.

Even if you have most of the set in RttC, I'm still hesitent to recommend putting the uniques in there. Sure, you'll use it all the time and theres no reason you'd ever go 120 seconds without it on, but like I said: Something about the uniques not going into auto powers bugs me.
