Procs in Toggles

Do these check every 10 seconds? I have the Gaussian Build Up in Invincibility and haven't seen it fire yet. 5% should be once every 200 seconds, no?

I want to be sure before putting +END in Physical Perfection.

Yes, once when you turn it on, and once every 10 seconds is the general rule. IF the toggle is always buffing you when it's turned on.

Any toggle that does nothing unless an enemy is in range (Invulnerability, Rise to the Challenge, etc) is a little strange. The rule is actually "Every time it pulses, but never attempt more than once every 10 seconds." So the proc fires when an enemy gets close enough for the toggle to buff you, and once every 10 seconds after, if there's still an enemy in range.

So if you're just standing there, it will never proc. Stand next to an enemy without ever moving out of melee range, and it should proc once every 200 seconds (on average). But unless you're in mass melee constantly, the gaps between fights will slow it down even more.

The Performance Shifter proc in Physical Perfection will work as you expect it to: a 10% chance every 10 seconds, or one proc every 100 seconds on average.

Also note you don't get a graphical effect to indicate build-up from the proc. Watch for the icon, or add "Healing Delivered" channel to your chat window and it will show the build-up [and +end proc] message in that channel.

There's no graphical effect but IIRC you do get the "build-up" sound (that is, unless I'm completely off my nut, in which case disregard this post).

Keep in mind, when Fitness turns inherent in I-19 we'll be able to get Stamina at level 2. That would be the perfect place for +End if you're going to do any exemplaring, since a Proc can only work as long as the power it's in is available. And you'll never exemplar too far down to use a level 2 power

Unless you're putting it in Physical to get a set bonus, of course.

How does this work with anchors such as snow storm?

Do AOEs have a greater chance if targeting many enemies?

A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!

Nope, chance always remains the same.

Like any other toggle, it will check against each affected target of SnowStorm when you start it, and then check again against all targets in the effect every 10 seconds after that.

The checks are individual per critter.

The wording on this leaves me with a question.

Say I have Force Feedback's chance for +recharge proc in Hurricane. I'm just standing around, so it has no chance to fire. I charge into a pack of five dudes, and oh look it can make checks! But how many does it make? One, because I have any targets? Or five, because I have five targets?

Should be 5.

That's why that proc is so popular to put in Foot Stomp, because it will check for every enemy you have in range of the power.

The Theft of Essence proc works the same way if you put it in Dark Regeneration.
