Need Advice - All-Tanker ITF
Well, it depends on all the other characters' slotting. Make sure you're not grabbing 7 guys who took like no secondary powers cuz they're a "meatshield only" toon. On the flipside, if they didn't take ENOUGH of their primary powers, they may lack the survivability to contribute in any meaningful way.
I have no doubt you can SURVIVE at +4/x8, but damage -might- be an issue. With 8 tanks, you'll have to play to the strengths that party provides: divide and conquer, then gang up on harder targets (Bosses, EBs, etc)

Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)

I don't really see any inherent problems but expect a fairly lengthy ITF... most tankers don't have the damage to quickly take out +4 mobs. On the other hand if you've a team of Shield/Fire or similar high damage tankers it could run pretty quick. My 48 SD/Fire tanker can approach the damage of a scrapper and plows through mobs quickly.

Your main issue is going to be endurance on this kinda run. Lots of tankers aren't built to sit there and go balls to the wall fighting a single target for ages without recovery buffs. Since it's +4 the tankers are gonna be there for a while.
Other than that there shouldn't be any strange problems with the guys in mission 3, but mission 4 will require some coordination and potentially someone with the immobilize from an app.
It'll be too hard to damage Romulus through the nictus heals at +4 with just tankers, so you'll need to pull the nictus away from him. When I did this while duoing the TF Romulus would always run back towards the nictus occasionally even if taunted, so immobilize seemed to be the way to get it done.
If you're doing it on freedom let me know the time, I'd be interested in joining and could bring out the WP or Fire guy. WP would probably be the best choice since he can fight nearly forever without losing end...Seems important for +4 av fights.
Active (Freedom): Setna (Ice/Psi Dom), Arram (WP/KM Tank), Tesmiel (Elec/SS Tank), Astredax (Robot/Dark Mastermind), Operative Vidali (melee fortunata)
Retired (Virtue): Gaav (Inv/EM Tank), Baqra (Fire/SS Tank)
I would get a set of warburg bio/chem burn missles just in case, with maybe half your team having a shiva too. Nothing worst then getting to Rom, and finding you can't defeat him.
And a good temp power to have would be recovery serum, so you can manage endurance issues better (five uses).
I personally might just go a normal "Masters of" instead of +4/x8.

Don't you know that discussion of power selection/slotting can ONLY be based on hearsay, rumor, idle speculation, and bald-faced lies??!? ~Elf_Sniper
Thank you all for the replies so far.
I don't know the exact makeup of the team yet, since I plan to do a signup for it (like this) at some point down the road. More than likely, it'll be after i19 goes live. I'll personally be using my Ice/Fire and I have a friend with an Invul/DB who wants to join. And hopefully Tsuji's WP/Kin will be there too.
So it looks like team DPS and endurance management will be our biggest concerns. I'll definitely make sure to note in my recruitment thread that the Tankers who sign up should bring along some source of -regeneration, -resistance, +damage, and +recovery.
I'm thinking that these should do the trick:
Biological Mutagens (for +damage)
Bruising (for -resistance, hey every little bit helps)
Call to Justice (for +damage)
Chemical Burn (for -resistance)
Envenomed Dagger (for -regeneration)
Pets - Shivan Shard, Vanguard Heavy, etc. (for additional DPS)
Recovery Serum (for +recovery)

What server is this going to be on?
Never mind, I see you have Freedom in your sig, so probably you're hosting it on Freedom. Oh well.

I've done ITF serveral times on TTs, it's a fun run with all Tankers. Probably any well build Tank can handle the TF, but I've notice the times we've had a Dark Tank along the ending bits have gone much smoother.
I think the best run I was on had 4 */SSer, 2 */FMer, and at least one of the remaining ones was */EM (don't recall the final one). Anyways, mobs didn't last long with the massive pounding they took from Footstomp + Fire Sword Circle and the bosses went down pretty quick as well. Mind you I'm not saying you have to use this combo, but of all the ITFs (Tanker only) that I've participated in, this one went the fastest and was great fun.
I think Hyper ran an ITF for TT a little while ago, might be worth checking with him. I know he had some thoughts/comments on what he'd do differently next time (I think it went too fast for him).
I think Bruising will help immessly, all my previous runs were done w/o this inheret, so we we're just out muscling Romy at the end.
ITFs are great fun with all Tankers, make sure to post your results!

I'd like to eventually run an all-Tanker Imperious Task Force at +4/x8 some day. However, out of the handful of times I've done the ITF, it's been on random PuG teams who are always set to +0. So I was hoping to get some advice in advance on possible problems to be aware of for an all-Tanker team set at max difficulty level, since we'll be lacking debuffers, etc.
Missions #1 and #2 are pretty straightforward, so I don't forsee anything going wrong there. But the level 54 AVs in missions #3 and #4 may be problematic. Anyone have any tips or strategy suggestions to beat these guys considering that there will only be Tankers on the team?
(I do keep temps on me like the Envenomed Dagger and Vanguard Heavy in case I run into hard targets, but will that be enough? Or should I grab Warburg Nukes, Shivan Shard, etc?)
