Rikti Ship Takedown
~50 vanguard merits
Pretty useless on 99% of my characters as they have more than they will ever need, but is *some* incentive for those inclined to bother with this and want/need a decent chunk of Vmerits for the time required.
Go ahead and farm all the Vmerits ya want. It's not going to effect anyone or the market no matter how many people are involved.
I've already forgotten about most of you

Synopsis: Explore the fine line between justice and vengeance as you help a hero of Talos Island bring his friend's murderer to justice.
Grey Pilgrim: Fire/Fire Tanker (50), Victory
I wouldn't care about the merits or badges even if there were not any. Sometimes things are just worth doing because you can. I am not a rat that needs a piece of cheese just to motivate itself to go through the maze.

But yeah, I'm not so sure we 'need' rewards, but they would still be nice.
My attempt to organize a takedown event failed, in large part due to lack of coordinational planning (most of my friends had prior engagements, nd they actually know people...) But maybe next time.

2 merits? You think you're going to attract 30-45 folks to destroy a drop ship for 2 merits? Hell, Lusca gives 2 merits, and about 90% of the time I go to/from the boat in Indy He/She/It is up there in that far NW corner.
(and before anybody goes back to the 'this is why it should be a badge' argument, see my previous post). The point of even being able to take down a dropship is just so that you can say to yourself 'cool, i helped take down a dropship'. that's it. Some sort of 'cool' explosion goes along with it, and that's all. I'm all for people taking down the dropships, I just feel that 2 merits isn't going to be much of an incentive (and if you crank it to say 20 per, then that could lead to farming since you see what, 2-4 dropships per raid?), and a badge can lead to 'locking out' of newer folks because of the large number of folks required to participate. |

Got caught up in running an ITF, so sorry I missed out. Would have probably joined in later if you had started up. Oh well.
Wouldn't mind dropping some of these for the blasts that have dropped some of my Blasters over the years.

Since it requires a massive amount of people, since it's a raid, give it some bonus that is comparable:
Make it so you can only get the reward once every 24hrs, and there's incentive to always take one down.
have a menu option when it gets taken down and choose a reward:
get a badge for taking one down.
