When the original star (Brendan Frasier) is not willing to come back, it generally does not look good for the sequel. The first one was a medocre but somewhat entertaining flick. Not worth paying theatre prices, however.

Well Mummy 1 and 2 made a ton of money. Brenden Frasier's Journey was a gimmick 3D kids/tween flick. Still it made $100 million.

This one sounds more like a two generation action/romance flick with the possible addition of Disney sexting High School Musical lass Vanessa Hudgens to be opposite of Josh Hutchenson's Sam.
