Hallo!

Okay, this going be kind of long but I needing some help from the gamers who have knowledge and the know how. I am going to buy a laptop and am looking for the right one. I am looking to spend 1,500$ U.S.D at maximum. I needing this gaming laptop, but also used for traveling as I go. I already have company one but I needing personal one.

What do you think? These are specs from both Game Requirements and what is inside Laptop I looking to buy. Is anything comparable? Is anything missing, or anything of specs I needing to change?

What do you all think of what has been recommended? I want to play with FULL ultra mode on and without hesitation, or graphic malfunction, or slowing down.

If you knowing of better one, or one that exceeds limits or suggestion please let me know. Nothing above 1,500$ due to traveling and other expenses I unable to buy another alienware at this time. x.x;

Thank you for help!

Love,
Mishii!<3

I use my 20 month old Asus laptop to run CoH all the time -- and its numbers are not as good as that newer model. I have been happier with Asus than most other laptop brands.

I'm not a computer geek . . . but wanted to share my experience with the Asus brand.

You might want to post this over in the Tech forum. The guys who hang out there seem to really know their stuff.

Yep Mishii the uber-geeks who lurk in the Tech Issues & Bugs section eat these kinda questions for breakfast.

I'd repost there or ask a Mod to move your post over.

OMG it's MISHII! It's been a while. How are ya!?

Anyway, as for your question.. I think you might have trouble finding a laptop that can run Ultra mode at MAX for under $1500. There aren't many computers in general that can handle everything it has to offer without at least some loss of framerate... at least not at the higher resolutions most people want to view them on anyway.

But I'm sure you can find one that can run it reasonably well with most of the options turned on anyway. Unfortunately I don't have any advice in this department. I might be looking for a new laptop soon too, but I haven't even started looking yet. I might end up referring back to this thread to make my own decision later. lol

You might also find some suggestions by browsing the rest of the Tech forum. Questions like this come up all the time.

Good luck, and Welcome Back?

I have the model below that, with the 4200 series GPU and tri-core AMD CPU. I run Ultra mode w/o issue at 15fps. You should be fine.

Full Ultra Mode for only $1500 in a laptop? Maybe.

Please remember that the hardware recommendations are for desktop not laptop hardware. Laptop video cards with the same designation as a desktop one is actually considerably weaker.

Example: Laptop Mobility HD 5870 is actually a bit weaker than the desktop HD 5770.

In your case the Mobility HD 5730 is a bit weaker than the desktop HD 5570.

The relatively low resolution of the screen helps you but I have a hard time seeing this running UM beyond it's minimum settings and that is still likely pushing it beyond the point of maintaining a comfortable frame rate.

I believe this is a better choice for a 15.6" Asus than your selection. Both the video and CPU are more powerful than your choice (video by 25-30%, CPU by 50 - 200%). Of course there is a trade off between power and battery life, but if you are looking for something to use in your hotel room Vs an airplane then that isn't an issue.

You will still need to run at a lower resolution than the default 1920x1080 to get acceptable frame rates but you are more likely to be able to run with UM on performance than your choice.

If you don't mind hauling around something big and cut it close to your $1500 limit then there is this Asus. Same CPU but video is 50% faster than the one I linked to previously and twice as fast as your choice. It also has twice the system memory. This has a much better chance of getting Ultra Mode off of it's minimum settings.

Here is yours plus my two picks side by side by side.

Here you go, have fun. It's under $1500, but near it.

As for maximum Ultra mode... uh... I actually have no clue what laptop can do that.

Maybe these: http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.p...selected_cat=2 ? Except for the last one (NP7130).

As for $1500 dollar Desktop (No monitor, 1 basic fairly high capacity hard drive, and no Keyboard or mouse or speakers or whatever the hell, just the tower itself), possibly.

In fact, let me check... Yes you can... if you build it yourself. It will in fact, max it, most likely.

I change title for second.

Okay forget 1,500 U.S.D limit for Laptop, what is best laptop that can playing Ultra Mode at maximum without problems if such thing exist?

And second question, most importantly, I decided also to looking at desktops.

You saying for 1,500 I able to have this made for me? I not very good with computer specs so if you could please giving me list of items I would need to build this? What would I need to play Ultimate Mode? ^^? What website should I go to for finding this? Is there '' build desktop now! '' website? What is the best recommendations from Community Tech-peoples. I would liking to stay in 1,500 range but I will going as far as 2,500 U.S.D if I having to but this is iffy. Most I wishing spend is 1,500 U.S.D and Lev-tan say this possible? Please inform me!

Thank you all for your contribution!

Love,
Mishii!<3
