How to Suck at Mastermind: Part 1

Last night, after a long interlude of not playing my demons/dark MM, I played her for a while.

It was rough going.

Finally, about five missions in, I remembered:

1. I usually keep Shadow Fall up for defense, resistance, and better positioning through stealth.
2. That "enchant demon" power is not purely decorative.

Things improved a lot then.

Heh. Sounds a bit like "I was having trouble tanking until I remembered to turn my armors on."

Some characters have a learning curve. Playing these characters is not like riding a bike.

I never had that problem--forgetting to put Equip Mercs on my Soldiers, that is.

I had a different problem when I came back to the game.

I forgot they changed the upgrades to be AoE, and for a few hours I was constantly wondering why the upgrades took so much End when I tried applying them to all my pets.

What happened in my case was, one of the demonlings died, and when I resummoned, I cast equip... and noticed that all but one of the other demons got their little equip animation. Then I realized the other one was out of the area of effect. Then I realized why everyone had been sucking.

And I filled up on recipes during the adventuring, so that character's WW slots are now all full again for a while, so it'll be a week or so before I play with the little demonlings again...

On the bright side, got the big demon a second acc/end/dam enhancement, and also a chance-for-smashing-damage proc to go with all those slows.

Yeah. I had the same problem in WoW, where I was just as bad an altoholic. I'd totally forget how to play various classes.

Here, I'll throw out volume two.

After remembering to summon FFG, forgetting that it de-spawns 2 minutes later.

I just kept looking for incoming ambushes when the silly thing exploded, not realising that it was just despawning

That's better than me. When I dusted off my regen scrapper - I forgot he had heals...

Oh here's another good one - After ignoring my fire.kin for almost 4 months, I confused Char with Cinders on my power bar. It took me at least 3 radio missions to figure out why my pbAOE kept missing all but one target.

Ever run into battle as a MM only to forget that it's not your corruptor, it's your MM? I looked like one brave-a** petless MM for about 3 seconds.

Oh. Here's one that happens to me from time to time. In an effort to be smart, I use Sandalphan's Key Binds and use Def/Goto and Def/Follow alot to use bodyguard mode... only, sometimes I forget to take the pets off of Goto, and run off to the next spawn and wonder where all my pets are while I get killed.
