Is it a laptop?

Processor - perfectly fine. More than enough.
RAM - plenty.
OS - You're quite likely running AT LEAST WinXP. (My computer -right click - properties will tell you.)

The only thing that looks a bit weak (to me) is the graphics card. I'm assuming this is a preassembled system. If so, give make/model and the folks here can see if it's upgradeable.

Thanks MB! Yeah it was a pre-assembled purchase from Best Buy called a Gateway Phenomenon at the time. A few years old and the OS is Vista. I run at lower graphics settings - I would be curious to see what "Ultra mode means"

I've got much of what you have, except for a Radeon x550.

I'm enjoying the game, but I would like to get around to upgrading my video card.

Here's a screenshot I grabbed when I saw your post. I run pretty much maxed out. I've never been able to figure out how to get my screenshots to look right outside the game. Ingame my gamma settings make things a lot less dark.

These are my specs though, and as you can see it's a much more recent machine.

Hey all,

I was wondering if any of you may know what can be causing a sudden "blackout on screen with a little icon of a monitor and computer and a "!" in between them. I have switched out monitors, and it only happens playing CoH.
My system is:

Processor*a * Main Circuit Board*b
1.87 gigahertz Intel Core 2 Duo
64 kilobyte primary memory cache
2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache
64-bit ready

Not hyper-threaded * Board: Dell Inc. 0WG855*
Serial Number: ..CN7082969TA65I.
Bus Clock: 1066 megahertz
BIOS: Dell Inc. 1.0.3 08/14/2006
Drives * Memory Modules*c,d

WDC WD1600AAJS-08PSA0 [Hard drive] (160.04 GB) -- drive 0,*SMART*Status: Healthy * 2046 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory

Slot 'DIMM_1' has 1024 MB
Slot 'DIMM_3' is Empty
Slot 'DIMM_2' has 1024 MB

I am not a computer person. I have a friend who works on mine at times. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Keep in mind that if you crank the graphics settings low enough, you can get decent framerate on a fairly old bit of hardware. The /renderscale x and /renderscale y commands give you extra control over the game resolution.
