Dear George Lucas
Yes theres the Blu-Ray editions coming with addition of Luke sitting in his cave fiddling with his lightsaber bit. You can bet there will also be the Blu-Ray 3D versions released as well following their theatrics.
....then the live action series in blu-ray and blu-ray 3D.
....then the next 3 films following ROTJ in both formats, then the KotoR film in both formats,
...and in the near future when the Japanese have got the 'middle of the room' 3d hologram tech working and commercially priced (yes thats right: hologram broadcast - some student has already developed a test rig demo'ing the tech) - you can bet we'll have the saga unfolding on the very medium R2-D2 demonstrates when playing the 'help me Obi-Wan' message - hows that for eerie.
then the smelli-vision (so real you'll swear you can smell the bantha-poodoo™) tech, then the holodeck tech (would you shoot Greedo first ?™) - In short, be prepared to keep seeing this saga refreshed everytime new technology is released.
I've had enough. I'm perfectly happy with my boxset.
And considering the age of the original trilogy, even though they have been restored, they were not filmed in high def so are not going to be as crystal clear as if they were filmed with todays camera-tech. I've read several reviews that said the Blu-Ray Superman film is barely worth it over the normal remastered dvd re: picture quality.
So yes, sorry George, enoughs enough for this 1080i upscaled luddite. I can catagorically say i won't be replacing any of my StarWars films unnecessarily.

Aww.... Dammit, I will won't i.
How did i know you were going to say that! >.<
Actually, re: the OP and considering the appeal of StarWars is multi-generational now, I'd go with George sitting in the Emperor's garb stroking his beard and saying to the next generation of blu-ray/3d/hologram consumers ; "It is unavoidable. It is your destiny. You, like your father, are now mine".
