Next Liberty Super Team ideas?

I can certainly see Nemu's point. After the second half hour, the quick xp was nice, but almost taken for granted. It was tough to see what weaknesses my character had with all the stacked buffs and stacked debuffs. Taking him (Zethan) out solo showed me that he needed help with recharge and stamina. But, other than that, really quite survivable.

Pugs are really the backbone of this game. I enjoy a pug more than playing as a guest with someone elses SG. There are so many talented players on Liberty and they seem to play really well with just about anyone.

GEL and others have told me that it was the people in the game that compelled them to pay their money, month after month. I think that any super team is only going to be as good as the comments/jokes/puns that are told during the teaming. The xp is meaningless. Really. Turn it off from time to time. Your play doesn't change. It just slows down your progress towards 50.

Oh, now that the pedestrians have been returned from the mysterious kidnapping, I discovered that my fire/rad/fire level 48 controller Zethan has leveled from 1 to 48 in 147 hours - 6 of those hours spent idle, marketing, crafting and building/expanding the 5 alarm chili base. And a big thanks to Hazy for choosing a good name for the group. There were so many lame names to choose from, and this one was a good choice. (at least for me)

Edited: Did the majority of the Maria Jenkins arc solo - When I noticed Serpent Drummer and Statesman were going to be helping, they made things too easy, so I ramped up the diff and soaked in the xp. Got to 50 in 151 hours.

As a predominantly solo player, I think my best time to 50 was 223 hours (on my spines regen scrapper). I've no idea whether 147 is pretty quick for folks who typically team up on groups of 8, but it was definitely quick for me. The next two levels will likely come on the next two sessions. (But I sure would like to get on a kill all ITF - I'm thinking that would get me to 50, clearing that whole map.)
Given the points you made, Hazy, are you going to keep with the survey or just pick one?

It's still open, but with a couple people throwing out ideas and no one else saying anything here, I'm inclined to go with what majority feeling is. There are some good ideas here, though. (Edit: Just noticed your quote from Ex, Ukase. Too true)

Fire/dark corr is great by itself, in a team of 8 it would be just OP. Fire/ice is fun, team of 8 should be fun too.

In game though, to the people I've asked what they would want to do, they have liked the kin idea the most. Kin melee Scrappers/Tankers/Stalkers/Brutes paired with kinetics Cors/Defs/Conts wouldn't be OP and steamrolling (least not at first) but it does have a nice theme with the Kinetic motions and the -dmg being tossed out. And with it being open to all the melee ATs and most of the ranged damage ATs, it would bring a nice mix of things to the table. (i'd be making both a km and a kin, and play whichever is needed more)

/gignore @username is the best feature of this game. It's also probably the least used feature.

I would love to run a KA ITF. In fact, I am going to! This saturday night, what time is best for you, Ukase?

The teams that I've enjoyed the most were concept oriented as well but in a different way. People could pick whatever powers but they were all pirates, ninjas or robots or they were dressed with similar colors and costumes.

But I'm weird so it's probably a moot point.

I have an idea for a 6 man super team. It will have to be done in Pretoria because this is my plan:

2 Blasters:
AR/Device
DP/Device

2 Corruptors:
AR/Traps
DP/Traps

2 Defenders:
AR/Traps
DP/Traps

I feel this could work because 4 FFG's give good mez protection and defense which will make higher levels easier. And obviously we would have lots of DMG. If this plan goes threw i have a AR/Traps Corruptor in Pretoria i could use for this. I also figured costumes could look similar to this:

Thats a screenshot of my level 8 corr i would use for such a super team and like i said maybe we all base are costumes to look similar.

(By the way I would want to do all Resistance also.)

Sadly, I am scheduled to leave for work at 11 pm central on Saturday night. For some unexplainable reason, there are several churches in the area that want a billion dozen donuts. (not exactly that many, but it seems like it.)

Knowing that you are also overworked and are pretty much unavailable (or so it has seemed to me) until the wee hours, I'm not thinking we can do this. Too bad. However, perhaps another night? I've got 3 toons at 48 (zethan, Fire/rad 'troller), 47 (Cantankerous, Stone/fire tank) and 46 (Galactic Keggar, Clumsy/Inept Warshade), so any one of them could pitch in on a kill all or even a kill 7. Or 3. However many or few it takes.

Saturday and Sunday nights are the worst for me.

Why am I now seeing Fred from the old Dunkin' Donuts commercials? Which does give me an idea for a new character now. Thanks Ukase!
