Any particular reason why Gremlins don't take EndMod sets?

<_< I'll have to Frankenslot them and put in two generic endMod IOs.

The designers of them are determined to make them useless? So far, that's all they are.

I've noticed Protector Bots don't take any Defense IO Sets. I'm guessing the reason is that there is something in the set, like Recharge, that would not have the expected result. So the devs disallowed that combination.

Of course, there are plenty of pets that take Sets that include Recharge, or even Recharge Intensive Pet sets, so that's just an example. It's probably not Recharge that is causing the problem with Gremlins. (Although it could be with Protector Bots)

A pet's abilities are not affected by any recharge. It is just odd. Every other power takes endmod.

Same reason that Conductive Aura doesn't take accurate healing; because IO's "aren't" factored in while making new power sets.

No.

Condcutive Aura doesnt take accurate healing because the portion of the power that increases you regeneration and recovery rate is auto-hit. It doesn't take accurate healing for the same reason no empathy powers take accurate healing. Theres no need for accuracy.

Gremlins on the other hand take accuracy, recharge, endurance redux and endurance modification. All this offered by the EndMod sets, and theres no reason for them not to take these sets.

Some pets take sets that will only affect 1 power the pet has, but every power the gremlins use would be affected by endMod, so theres no reason for it not to be there.

Don't know...they forgot? it's not like there are very good procs in ENDMOD sets. Maybe chance for stun?

I would love for the dev to go through all the pet's sets again. I mean Oni from Ninja set is STILL taking knockback set and he can't take either immb and hold set. It's been like this since sets were introduced. Oni is just as broken, if not more because Oni is a boss pet.

What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

/bug it.

Lightning Storm takes endmod sets. Voltaic Sentinel takes endmod sets. The Mu summons take endmod sets.

"Forgot to update IO sets after copy pasting from Fire Imps" seems a plausible reason. Ditto the above post, /bug it.

And not just Gremlins. Shouldn't all the powers in electric control take endmod sets? Paragonwiki says Static Field, Paralyzing Blast, and Synaptic Overload don't take endmod sets either, but they should.

What pets can slot tends to be erratic at best. For example Singularity cannot slot Immob, Slow or Hold set IOs, but Dark Servant can slot everything you'd expect (including Immob and Hold). Warshades Extracted Essenses cannot slot Knockback sets, but Singy and Phantasm can.

Someone really needs to look at them again because at the moment there's no rhyme or reason behind them at the moment really.

Demon Prince can take Hold, Slow and Sleep sets while Oni can only take pet sets. T_T

That is because the Oni is Japanese, and as we all know the Japanese have only one word that means both Different and Wrong. The Dev's tried to get him to take the other sets but he kept misunderstanding and thinking they were giving him "wrong" sets. So he won't accept them.

Now that you mention that, i am not surprised.

I agree, i think all the pets need to be looked at, It would nice if all non-MM pets worked like Dark Servant.

The only reason i think they didn't work like dark servant.....was to control maximum set bonus stacking via the IOs for some reason. But as things have changed, that shouldn't really be an issue anymore.

Might be worth sending Castle a PM about it, with a link to this thread. Tons of people don't have to do it, just post about it here, and one person can do it, so he's not inundated. He does respond to such things and it's worth bringing to his attention.
