Bushy Tail?

I've seen a few players sporting the new bushy tail, but I'm not entirely certain where to get it. I missed the mutant pack and GR complete pack, so I'm guessing it's one of those. However, neither of the product pages mention it, and a forum search doesn't immediately turn anything up, at least with the keywords I'm using.

Is it in either one of those? Is it in another pack altogether that I have somehow missed?

As compensation I want a copy of that pack as well.

I saw little bunny foo foo on the test server once...

just thought I'd share.

What?

There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"

They stuck it into the mutant pack to get more people to buy it. Really annoying.

Should have made a beast pack instead of party, and threw it in there.

Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.

Amen to both of those.

The bushy tail and the organic armour "crown" are the only pieces I'm using out of the mutant pack.

If the devs hadn't thrown in the bushy tail I would feel real burnt about that pack.

When the devs finally release a Furry/Beast pack I hope they throw the bushy tail in that pack as well, that way the people who passed on the mutant pack can still grab that tail.

Especially since the tail does not fit thematically with the rest of the Mutant pack. I lobbied hard for the bushy tail, showing photo after photo of the kinds of characters we could use it for, and then it was apparently whipped up in a few days by Jay and added to the Mutant pack as an afterthought. That was unbelievably annoying.

It's such a basic element that can be used for so many toons, I think it should be a free costume piece.

you know the most painfully ironic thing about the bushy tail?
We probably would have gotten it for free, but in order to sell the mutant pack, they added it in AT THE PLAYER'S DEMAND AND NOW WE HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.
Nice job breaking it, playerbase.

I'm not trying to nitpick nor diffuse any angst at all about this topic (As this particular point doesn't counter the rest of the raised issues).
The Wolf tail wasn't just whipped up in a couple of days to put into the pack.
David/Noble Savage had actually mentioned that a bushy tail was coming prior to the Mutant Pack announcement.
I believe it was in the All Things Art thread.
They had it ready and were just sitting on when/how to put it into the game (Or had a plan and then changed it, whatever the case may be).
So, I'm not arguing anything else you've said... Just stating that the tail was already in the works and ready (Or just about ready, if not fully ready) beforehand.

This I agree with 100%.

I've purchased the Mutant Pack, but I'd be all for them making the tail available to everyone (That's just me though).

[as an aside... the organic armor tail and wings are pretty cool too. Actually, all the pieces are pretty cool. Just like most sets, different people will have different pieces that they use and/or are their favorites. That pack stands up okay in comparison to the others, in my opinion... but the wolf tail is my favorite and I think it should have been a free addition to the game]

I thought they "stuck it into the mutant pack" for people like me who bought the pack thinking it was one thing when it was another, as a gesture of good will.

Yep, it's the Mutant Pack. I think in the tailor it's named the 'Wolf Tail - Animated', since there doesn't seem to be a non-animated version. It could be considered a fox tail too because the devs had the forethought to use the two-tone colour mechanic to colourise the tip portion of the tail. If you want a regular wolf tail all you'd need to do is make both colours the same.

The only comment I recall is David stating specifically that Jay had taken a few days to create the tail and they added it to the Mutant pack. That was in the discussion of the Mutant pack's release. If it was remarked upon in the Art thread I missed it, but I didn't read that entire thread.

Obviously as a player who has to pay for this game to begin with I'd like to get as much content as possible without having to pay extra for it. If I didn't feel that way I would probably think there was something wrong with me.

On the other hand the people making/maintaining this game are in it as a business whose primary goal is to maximize profits. Frankly if they were making this game and NOT figuring out ways to make as much money from it as possible I would think there was something wrong with them.

Sure people are always going to whine and moan about optional microtransactions like this and there will always be people who think they aren't worth the extra money or are somehow bad/evil in some shape or form. But seriously folks, the argument that microtransactions shouldn't happen in MMOs in general sailed at least 5 years ago if not longer. Get over yourselves with this.

It's a fact of gaming life now. Sure we can complain about the details of how a company offers them, but they are never going to go away at this point. Did the Devs ultimately tack on this bushy tail to the Mutant Pack just to make it more appealing to buy? Of course they did - no point in acting like it was some kind of shocking "dirty trick" or something. *shrugs*
