I hope there's no more griefy stuff, I have a commission with one of the ribboneers so I'd like them to get through this unscath... er, reassembleable.

I did send a note via the Forums and via e-mail regarding the contest before I started this thread and left to attend to a few important family matters. I still haven't received response to either inquiry. The way CR last left it, I was under the impression he was willing to go through with the continuation as ruled by Wassy so I made the formal announcement as some folks were itching to get this started. Usually, the FArt contests were 3 weeks to draw, 1 week to vote; I believe i gave through the end of the month and left the voting period longer than that.
I really hope CR does end up participating, I was really looking forward to the final throw-down.
Granted had it not been for the delay I would have not launched my illustrious stick figure drawing career so some good has come out of this, but still... we should all remember that FArt is an excuse to have fun and draw almost naked people, FArt should never be the cause of harsh words spoken between forumites for any reason.

And that guy with his nicely lettered arguements earlier I assumed was kidding, or being ironic or something, because everything he said made no sense to me. I think it was opposite day when he posted.

Personally I had moved on from this because I could see no good outcome or positivity here.
It left me completely uninspired to draw anything for a long while now much less submit
an entry and I loathed the idea of ribbons as the theme for the grand finale.
Also there has been a lot going on in my life recently keeping me busy and I just wasn't willing to devote any time to such a negative.
Even having a cash reward for the contest was not enough to sway me to come back (though I really do appreciate the gesture Bayani).
Upon popping in last night to see what had become of this something DJ said caught my eye.
Donate the money to charity.
I may not want/need $50 from this contest but there are many worthy charities that sure could use it.
I have several great causes both local and abroad I used to support but have not been able to give to
them in a long time now. Now I see a way to make something good come out of this contest.
So I'm back in and playing to raise awareness (and hopefully money) for one of my favorite local charities the 2nd Harvest Food Bank.
I have no idea what kind of piece I will be able to create in the time I have left but I will try my best.
P.S. 5pm? Since when is that the deadline??
It's always been midnight (11pm my time) before... any chance we can get the usual?
I will try and have at least something done in time either way but midnight would be much better.
I may just end up pulling an all nighter. Wish me luck.

Yeah so I ran out of time and couldn't finish up the stage/runway or the curtain like I wanted. I also wanted to add 3 more people (2 under Amerikatt and one below Grey Ming) to the audience. I was just about to detail and blend the ribbon going from the flowers to Amerikatt's mouth when my "post it now or miss the deadline alarm went off" hopefully what I was able to finish was good enough.
About 13½ hours work and 15 individual drawings (crown, wings, Xllusya's head, her body, Lounge crooner etc are all drawn on separate sheets of paper and were assembled in Photoshop) with almost no sleep went into this but at least I got something in on time. Phew!

Thanks for including me in this masterwork. I had a great laugh when the DA page said, "Amerikatt insisted on helping"!
I loved *all* of the cameos in the picture. Caemgen's was absolutely LOL-worthy, and having both Miss Shrike and Miss Xllusya ... WOW! Just WOW!

I... thought this was for fun? Are people competing for a new house or a million dollars or something? Because if so I want in on some of this.
If this is serious business and were battling for a car or something I will step up and challenge Shia with my amazing artz skills instead! (Ok, so not that amazing but for a house and a scholarship its at least worth a try for a surprise victory with an erotic stick figure.)
