Mob defeats not counting during tip missions?

Are these Rogue tips or Villain tips? If Rogue it might be that Rogue tip missions won't count towards a Villain badge but I am just guessing. (Replace Rogue with Vigilante and Hero with Villain as appropriate.)

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
I believe the badge you are looking at is Spider Smasher, which requires the defeat of Arachnos Wolf Spiders, even though the progress bar only says "Arachnos Minions". So even though you were beating Arachnos minions, you weren't beating the right targets for the badge.

Ahh, that makes sense then.
I was running into pretty much nothing but various spider-bot types, Fortunatas, Widows, and a couple of Webmasters. I don't think I saw any Banes or Wolfs (Wolves?) in that mission.

If you want to complete the SPIDER SMASHER badge - which is needed for an accolade -"Born in Battle" I think.. head to Marconeville in Port Oaks and go back and forth between the giant fountain square and the concrete wall that backs up to a hill. Took me about 30 mins to get 125 last night.

^^^ Hordelings would only be for the Coldblooded Badge, and Gremlins for whatever the gremlin one is

Last night I noticed an odd behavior.
I noticed that I've got 175 out of 200 "Arachnos minions" defeats (in the new "closest to completion" badge tab...love that new breakdown).
As it so happened, my next Tip was to rescue a longbow agent captured by Arachnos.
So I ran the Tip mission, wiped out an entire base of Arachnos . . . and made no progress on the defeat badge.
Are the Tip missions like the AE missions where no progress towards the various badges are allowed? Or is it something else? (like maybe the defeat arachnos minion badge isn't allowed on hero side? I didn't think I'd beaten that many Arachnos while I was in Praetoria, but I might of)?
Anyone know?
