XP Slider instead of on/off switch

It would be really nice if there was a slider for xp instead of an on/off switch. This really becomes apparent in praetoria. I want to team with people, but dont want to outlevel my contacts(and im only doing one story chain per character) Now I could just turn my xp off, but that would eliminate one of the fun parts of teaming. Instead, it would be nice if I could just lower my xp down to what I thought was good.

Not really needed.

You would still ;

1) go slower than your team, while being SSK'd up that all that would matter is slots and powers.

2) reach a point where you would want to turn XP off when things would lock out to you.

Sure a XP slider is not strictly "needed".
But then again most QoL improvements in this game aren't strictly needed either.

They have other sliders in the options for various variable values.
Don't see why they couldn't make a 0% to 100% scale for XP as well.

Don't you get more inf when you turn off xp, though? I've never done it myself, so I don't know, but if that's the case, that'd still be a good reward, no?

I dont really pay attention to inf anymore. I dont bother buying enhancements till at least in the 20's and i can transfer any amount i want from my alts, not to mention my communal io bins in my sg base. So no, inf is not really a good reward.

Not sure what you mean about this... my whole point is that I dont want to level up to fast for my solo content later. So I dont care if the team outlevels me, its only a pug.

Turning off the xp is kinda a pain. I was thinking about trying to see if I could make a macro for this to turn it on and off whenever I wanted, but I havent really checked it out yet.

I'd love the ability to alter the XP gain for my characters, adjust it lower on teams while keeping it 100% for solo content, and if I DO have to turn off XP before outlevelling content, wouldn't there be a 0% option on that slider? So no problem there!

And regards to the INF gained, I think it's only double-INF when exemplared, not just for turning off XP.

Another possibly fun way would be to implement Prestige/Influence/XP* sliders, ranging from 0% to 300%, with each of them at 100% by default - increasing one decreases the other two, basically letting you decide how big a slice of the rewards each aspect of the rewards gets. Want to quickly raise some prestige? Turn down the XP and influence sliders. Want some quick cash? Turn down prestige and XP.

*Caveats: XP doesn't go above 100%. Prestige slider only available while in SG mode. SCR applies.

simple idea. HUGE QoL enhancement.
