I have a question. Why is it that the PPD doesn't attack on sight even after you commit crimes against them. Then when one supports the resistance going to hell and back choosing them in a moral decision they still attack me in the underground/sewers. I can understand the destroyers because there addicts to something they cannot control, but surely the resistance has some common knowledge not to attack the one that is helping them so much. I mean I think they shouldn't attack you on sight, but like with the PPD on the surface you have to attack them first unless your spotted by a seer.

Sorry for lore and terminology wronging, I am new to the games. :x

Thanks

Welcome to the game and the forums

Even when you're working for the Resistance, you're doing so as an undercover agent - offically, you're still a members of the Powers Division, serving Tyrant and the dictatorship - so the Resistance fighters will either attck you to help keep up your cover, or they may genuinely not know that you're working to help them, as the fewer people who know about it the less chance there is that your cover will be blown.

What I keep wondering is why, as a Loyalist, there are PPD officers out there who are openly hostile to me. I get the yellow bracket guys, especially since the PPD and Powers Division don't always get along. But why do some of them attack me like I'm Resistance?

I thought this was the whole explanation right here. Cole allows certain levels of in-fighting (a la Lord Recluse), and PPD hates Power Division.

Edit to the New Guy: Welcome to the forums! City of Heroes/Villains/MorallyAmbiguousParallelograms prides itself, internally, on having a friendly community. You're always welcome to come to us with questions or if you just thought of a lol.

Hope you enjoy the forums, feel free to PM me any questions you have.

They hate you for being in the Powers Division, which is higher up the dictatorship than they are - they resent the way you can get invovled in PPD business anytime you like.

That's a critter quirk, actually. If you find a spawn fighting each other, they'll both be red to you. So if a PPD group wins, there'll be a red PPD officer standing around, ready to attack whoever comes by.

Based upon the tutorial all of our Praetorians are officially members of the Powers division. Some are undercover Resistance pretending to be Powers, some are Powers pretending to join the Resistance. But to the PPD we are members of the Powers division. Two PPD NPCs in the tutorial make it clear Powers division guys are not liked by PPD.

The best way to look at it is an almost Arachnos-like version of France's King's Musketeers versus the Cardinal's Musketeers. You can kill them. They can kill you. But you better be ready to explain yourself if asked.

total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
