Old Timer Gathering

I can remember when this was just a neighborhood of heroes. Only just found this thread, will try to make the next one.

I was never really part of "the Park scene", but it's good to see some familiar faces/names in this thread.

I'm starting to show signs of life again in this game, especially with GR. I'll have to make a note to jump on Modern Samurai for the next one of these.

Oh blast, I checked the forums a few days late. Would have loved to attend this. I'll definitely hit the next one. Be good to see some faces I haven't seen in quite a lot time.

Man, I remember dropping by Gemini Park a few times back in the day. Will have to try to make the next one, either as Agent Ravage or Necril.

Or maybe a real blast from the past, use an extra slot to bring back my very first character who got sacrificed to my altitis long ago but has lingered on on the Test server (allowing me to retrieve her costume ): LtCmdr T'Rana, my Trek-inspired Tanker.

If it's the 2nd Saturday of every month, then I would assume September 11.

What I am wondering is if people would be willing to do this on a more regular basis?

Like say every fortnight (2 weeks) so the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month?

I had a lot of fun and I really don't RP "Under the Butt" or In the D, so my RP is limited to the occasional meeting of friends, and while I wouldn't like the obligation of doing this every weekend, every other weekend would be often enough to get some good RP in, while not being so frequent that it becomes a chore, and would allow people whom missed out to not have to wait a month to catch up.

Thoughts?

This is a good idea, for my part I dont enjoy hanging out in the D or under the butt for that matter, It doesn't really fit with my characters and theres always so much unnecessary drama that I have witnessed from observation. However that is just where people have choosen to gather for RP now-a-days. I also dont like constantly (read daily or weekly) committing my time on a regular basis to anything or to be anywhere when I am in game that I cant get out of without feeling guilty if I opt out, so having a casual place and time for all of us to get together, in a place that is familiar to us to return to, to just chill out, say hello, cause some random mayhem would be nice for a change to the current fare found at the D or under the butt with the /emo walllean "sup" *pours stiff drink and purrs*

So yeah count me in for every 2 weeks.

Though 9/11 old folks remembrance day at the park sounds kinda sadling

I know it happened in Marvel's universe. Not sure if it happened in DC.

Though I would note that, as I recall, the American Legion (supergroup, not RL organization) has an event planned for that day - perhaps we should attend there in our old characters?

Wow, I'm happy to see that there's so much interest in these get-togethers, so I'm a bit overwhelmed, but glad to see there's so much interest.

To give credit where credit is due, Dame Colette was the one who originally proposed the once-a-month thing and I just sort of rolled with it and stuck it on the forums as a general reminder. As interest grows, maybe we can get The Cape to come out and throw out a show. *makes Puss in Boots eyes at The Cape*

There's no formal organization to this thing (yet) and who knows what the future will bring. However, who am I to stand in the way of a fun time?

So let's try a 2nd and 4th Saturday get-together for a couple of months and see what plays out. I'll post the official announcement the week before and we'll see who shows. That work?

And Kant, since we're going to be meeting again soon, we can discuss it at the park, eh?
