So far i have two costumes i made that i saved for future use. Saved them to the game before i finished my two characters.

Are these costumes saved locally or server-side?

If they are saved locally, How would i back them up incase of hard drive or OS issues?

what location are they at on my windows xp home OS?

I don't want to lose these saved costumes!

also another odd question a bout the forums and my avatar, for some reason when i reload a page my avatar is missing, soemtimes it takes a few refreshes before i can see it again. anyone know the deal here?

They are saved locally, in a folder in your CoH directory. You should just be able to back them up from there.

The folder is even named "Costumes" if I remember correctly. You can copy-paste the folder to your Test Server directory so you don't go crazy trying to re-make nice costumes when testing.

Also, I've never had a problem seeing your avatar.

thank you, one last question. if i buy and install new costume boosters will the old costumes i have backed up still work properly?

Yup. The only time they won't is if the Devs move some of the costume options around, or rename some, which has only happened very rarely.

Yes, they will work properly. In the off chance that they do not, there's a very handy Costume Fix button that will remove the offending piece(s).

For instance, you have a costume saved with an aura, and try to load it on a lvl 1 character, you would need to use the fix.

coh/Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/coh/costumes/(costume name).costume

The costumes folder is in the same folder as the default location for keybinds.txt

It happens to me, too, usually right after posting, but definitely with no consistency. I just shrug it off as glitchy board programs and ignore it, though.

Dec out.
