Discussion: New Going Rogue Preview at IGN
I also stated this n the FB feed (Add me as a friend f you want)...but why is IGN just seeing Dual Pistols? Don't the devs have industry previews for their games?
Granted Dual Pistols was going to come out with GR not with GR but early and they should have seen it by now if they didn't early release it but really...3 months after its early release?

This is from the article.
"Although being neutral has its own rewards, being a vigilante or rogue gives players access to the entire game even parts of the game that were originally exclusive to hero or villain. In addition, vigilantes and rogues can team up with anyone." How do neutral folks interact with the SG's they were part of before they became nuetral? Can they still go into their base? Do they still earn prestige? ect. ect. |
--Can they join a hero or villain SG while already joined one of the other?
--Can I attack a hero or a Villain in a PvE zone? Also, Can I attack a member of my old alignment in a PVP zone while I am a Vig/Rogue and attack also attack a member of my future alighment?
If my second question is yes, I might like PvP so much more...the idea of being a Rogue that can attack anyone in a PvP zone whenever I want and at any level range makes me giddy and excited to PvP.
The devs should really make neutral SGs...it would be epic and awesome to have SG bases with TPs to EVERY zone!

I don't know "Canada Joe". But what you see is not necessarily what other people see, such as the objects summoned by Propel which are created client side and different for everyone. They could have these new contacts become invisible for the person for whom they are "dead", and visible for everyone else.

Shadow Wail: There's a reason it's PVE, not PVP. This is not WoW.
Hello, my name is @Caligdoiel and I'm an altoholic.
Can they join a hero or villain SG while already joined one of the other?

No, you can only join one SG at a time.
No, you'll be flagged as friendly in any non-PvP zones. As far as I know, Rogues are still flagged as Villains in PvP, and Vigilantes are still flagged as Heroes - so for example a Rogue could only enter Siren's Call via the red side, and only be able to target blue side players. |
Do you have a link for this statement or is this inside speculation? I havent found anything substantial when it comes to PvP and Post-GR status.
I am under the impression that Vig/Rogues get to go between regions at will ( Could be wrong but I would like a red name VERIFIED statement) I would think that this also means that as a Rogue, I can enter Bloody Bay from either PC or RI, what would be the point of playing in PC and getting a rare urge to PvP but then I have to return back to the RI to get there.
Would this also be true in Pocket D? In order to go to Pocket D will I have have to go back to the RI and will my Pocket D teleport temp power not work in PC?
What exactly is the point of switching sides or staying as a Vig/Rogue if I cant do anything as I freely want?

Doooooouble standards.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
I seriously do not want "occanional" "tips" off my missions or arcs, I have over 30 alts, and getting them all to play both sides seems like it will take years before I can get them all to play on the sides I want...
I would like a Morality TF/SF, something you can only do once a week like how merits work, cause I do not like the sound of "waiting" for a "tip" just to get the alignment mission where I can switch my alt to have a side that's actually active (I play mostly villains)
I would like as I stated before a SF/TF where you "betray" or "help" whoever the contact is, THIS was once an idea around before the patron arcs were placed in, I have proof of this cause my villain badger "mysteriously" got the Member of The Scorpion Clan badge, so I know at one time the devs wanted the patrons to got 2 ways, but something didn't get through the pipeline so we were left without it...
Can you PLEASE try it again? you have the reason to now, and I do not like this "tip" system, it sounds WAY grindy and will take me a long time before I can expand the content I have for my alts, and be on a side that has people and not tumble weeds...
Those that have many 50's, and as I stated I have about over 30 (I have to recount, but even so I have more planned when GR comes out) so getting a "tip" from those alts of mine will be way way more involved than somebody..with just one.
"Tips" are not going to be in every mission I "assume", they will drop like recipes or pop up like new contacts when you reach a certain level, THAT will take time, THAT will be a grind...
I have alts for various things, some better for the RSF, some for the ITF, some for farming, some for support, so I want merits and I see "Need Healer or Buffs in Num TF or Debuffer/Rad for STF" I wouldn't be able to use my corruptor least till I get 20 "tip" missions and those 2 "morality" missions to change my side?
The devs states I believe it was Positron himself that said that we will not be able to change sides easy, might take a week or more...I said..a week or more, now times that by 30...ya...not that long eh?
I want to IO out my alts, I want to get merits by doing SF/TF's, they have more "fun" appeal to me than grinding out arcs for 5-10 merits here and there, but I will have to wait till I can fully do so by grinding out these "morality" missions so my alts can choose to go on the heroside to join those TF's that I see broadcasted far more in channels than I see for the redside...
We need a "Morality" SF/TF that has a week timer on it, so those that join teams by SF/TF only don't have to wait for "tips" to appear, then grind out the missions to be on the side we want.
I have a gut feeling these "tips" aren't going to pop up fairly easy, cause the devs don't want "side-switchers" to switch from Hero to Villain in 1 day, anybody that plays more than 4+ hours can do 11 missions in 1 day easy, so I know somehow the tips will not just drop like the temp power recipes do, they will be random and might only see 1 or 2 a day, that's how I see it, and I simply do not want it that way.
And how would you know that? If I recall right you only have 1 character so side switching yes, wouldn't take long...for you

I do "assume" much don't I?
My ability to gather info lead me into some interesting finds...
So won't take a week like a dev stated, I heard can switch over night in a few hours, I like that idea more than the crypticness of what we've been told, so I might have over estimated the "switch", but I think I'd like more further info on what I've bought than what I've been given, I really hate people breaking the NDA cause of poor marketing to keep it a "surprise", specially when it comes to furthering the content to my alts.
Knowing is Half The Battle, being clueless on what to expect is just NERD-RAGE waiting to happen when things sound more tedious than they seem...
just stating history....whether you disagree or not it is your opinion Golden Girl.
