Hi, got a bit lost as to where to go, where to pick up missions.

I was soloing a lot at lower lvls and always got new contacts in new zones when i was ready. But since lvl 10 everything i done has been in group. Last group mission i did was in IP. I got no contacts there. Kings row and steel canyon are last places i had contacts but they have no missions for me.

Any suggestions where to pick up missions would be much appreciated

Well gain one more level and you can start the level 20 missions. Striga island is a good story.

Stephanie Peebles is the first contact opens at level 20. You can get to Striga via Talos Island.

Run a few paper missions after the safe guard you should be given a new contact.

You might also want to open up your contact list and see if you have Montague Castanella as a contact.

Talking to your old contacts should get you referals to new ones of a more appropriate level.

Failing that, run some radio missions and the following Safeguard and you will be offered new contacts.

Visit your outlevelled contacts. A first few would introduce you to contacts appropriate to your current level.

If you haven't got youur police scanner/newspsaper do so, do paper/scanner missions then a safeguard/mayhem, the detective (or broker) would give you a new contact.

There are also contacts that would give you missions irregardles of whether or not they are in your contact list, but the list of those is specific to level and side.

If you're lvl 19 hero, you can try Jim Temblor in Faultline (a guy in black leather jacket and jeans near a twisted monument in a park next to doughnut shop.) Or Montague Castanella (university in Steel Canyon.)

Welcome to the forums! I am going to answer a question you didn't ask... "How can I kick more butt in the near future, and what do I have to watch out for?"

When you get to level 22 you will be eligible to use Single-Origin enhancements [SO's]. They make a LARGE difference compared to DO's. (Six DO's would double your base damage, and you can do that in three SO's.) One set of SO's costs about a million inf- let me know if that's a problem, there are easy ways to make that money- and they are available from your origin store in Talos or Independence Port.

SO's are so good you can run into "Enhancement Diversification", which is nearly impossible to hit with DO's. When you get to about three SO's worth (95% for most powers) of enhancement you hit a softcap and you hit it hard. Two SO's of the same type gets you around 67% enhancement, three gets you around 95%, four gets you... around 100%. Yeah, kind of a waste.

I am limiting myself to "one piece of unrequested advice per new kid thread" and this is yours.

Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.

So you think you're a hero, huh.

I'm going to second this. The midnighters arc (from Montague Castanella) is a quick set of missions with an interesting story. Also, the arc you get in Faultline from Jim Tremblor is entertaining, as are the subsequent missions from the contacts he introduces you to after.

Also, WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!

Easy. Just open your contacts list and go to the Active tab. These contacts will give you missions, or introduce you to a new contact that will.

I would definitely second this. I love the Striga arcs. If you can put a team together it's even more fun but even solo it's a good story and it doesn't send you charging all over the city like some other contacts at that level. In fact my only complaint is that you often get several hunt missions in a row (they are less annoying than some hunt missions but still irritating, especially if you do them solo at the lowest possible level).

And this is what I was going to say. Faultline is level 15-25 and it works differently from the standard contacts - you don't need an introduction (just like The Hollows, Striga, Rikti War Zone).

Just walk up to Jim Temblor and anyone in the 15-20 range can get missions.

Thanks for suggestions

Seen Jim Temblor and got faultline, also got radio tuned into area.

Thanks for tips on enhancements Fulmens. I am only just starting to notice there are other enhancments other than the standard ones you get of NPC and and invention ones.
