Umm you mentioned 2 secondaries and one primary.
I've enjoyed sonic/therm, fire/cold and fire/traps. Fire/therm would also be nice.
Personal preference. The nice thing about thermal and pain is you have your aoe heal.
Anything/dark or anything/traps would work solo as well.

This is for Solo? /Therm and /Pain are definitely team booster sets, since they are mostly buffs with a few debuffs later in the game. This won't help you be terribly survivable if you're pairing with the aggro monster that Fire/ can be.
Pain Dom is comparable to Empathy when you're thinking of soloing, so while you can heal yourself (somewhat) and have one debuffs - your best mitigation is probably a teammate. Thermal is sorta similar.
Fire Blast, on the other hand, pretty much goes with just about anything, being as it is the highest-damaging (out-of-the-box) blast set for corrs. /Dark, /Kin, /Rad are all popular combinations and will have available debuffs to keep Fire's ridiculous aggro potential from causing you to faceplant constantly. With soloing, a pinch of prevention in taking damage is worth a pound of healing.

As above, /therm and /pain are both very team-supporty sets, so they're not great for soloing.
From what you've mentioned though, I'd go Fire/Pain. Pain helps you solo better than /Therm does.

I have a Dark Blast/Pain Dom corr that's decent to solo. Dark Blast gives you some nice AoEs that also debuff, and /Pain gives you some ways to boost your damage output even if you only have one teammate. Dark Blast also has a self-heal, which is also nice when solo.
The trick to Dark/Pain was to maintain two builds, one for solo and one for teaming. Teaming: take everything from Pain and only the real choice powers from Dark, like Tenebrous Tentacles and Night Fall.
Solo build: take most everything from Dark Blast, and skip far more of the /Pain powers. Take enough from /Pain so you can still help a teammate when you're just duoing. (After the 4th person on the team, you should probably shift to your team build.)
The problem with Fire Blast is it's AoE heavy, and I found myself huffing and puffing after every three man fight solo. You might be able to set the difficulty to -1x4 or something and really clean up, but that's speculation. I haven't tried it.
I also found that Ice Blast on a corr is a nice balanced primary, with good single target, decent AoE, a little control and decent performance on teams and solo. Pair it with anything you like.
One thing, a Tenebrous Tentacles boosted with Share Pain on a big spawn will basically cause you to suck an alpha if you don't have a brute or someone else that's taunting constantly (either with Taunt/Confront/Provoke or has a really good taunt aura). Beware of this on big teams before you get all excited and start dishing big damage out left and right.

That all said, soloing with /Pain and /Thermal is going to be.... Tedious. It's not impossible by any means, it's just going to be slower then any of the debuff sets like Rad, Dark or Storm.
I would suggest Fire/Kin, i know u didnt say it but those are more team built then for solo Imho
You realize of course, that Fire Blast has some of the best single target damage of any of the sets right? It's single target damage is better then Ice's.

This was (is) one of my very first characters in CoH. I only took the AoE's, because I figured that's what Fire was suppose to do. And there's a lot of good stuff in /Dark too, so that made the single target in Fire even more skippable. So I was definitely huffing and puffing each fight, because AoE (and Fire Blast) were my only options.
Looking at City of Data, I see your point. I may have to rebuild into something more balanced.
The main culprit is Rain of Fire. It uses a tonne of endurance.
You do want to be using your AoEs though, since it'll be end efficient to wipe huge spawns at once with only needing your ST attacks for lts/bosses. Just make sure to get good end rdx in Fireball, Breath and Rain.
Pull with DN, run round a corner, drop Tar Patch under them when they're all bunched up. Drop Fearsome Stare, RoF, Fireball, Fire Breath. Then just clean up. Fight big spawns of weak enemies. Your AoEs are best used against as many enemies as possible to make them most efficient.

Well, I kinda went a diffrent route then I thought of going on my previously mentioned sets for a Corruptor.
Im going with 2 Corrs.
Elec/Dark and a Ice/Traps
2 Diffrent types then I was going to go after, but they suit my Playing style.I do apprechiate everyones input on the matter.
I looked over Thermal and Pain and figured that your all right, its a bit slow on the Soloing Scale, so I made some builds that would do very well solo.

Simply because Defenders lack Pain Domination, Thermal, and Fire Blast sets.
Any Corr build ideas that envolve 1 or more of the 3 iv listed?
