I knew it. I always said to both the Devs (in PM's) and everyone else that if this trial ever came back then it would come back as PVE content. The whole IoP thing has essentially collapsed as has most of the content for bases. But that doesn't mean a lot of the hard work that went into making this content can't be salvaged. I'm glad to see they finally got around to converting this into a PVE trial. Now if we can just get them to put the Scott Calvin TF back into the game we'll be good to go. Judging though by how long it took them to bring the CoP trial back then I guess that means Scott will be back in... 2014

I never had the chance to experience the trial but after reading about it on the wiki I'm really looking forward to giving it a go some time.

Heh well that's not hard to fix. I mean stick his butt inside the hospital in IP or something and do a few rewrites to the story and bingo. You have another TF added to the game which is additional content the players are always scrambling for. I've spoken to Positron about this several times and that was years ago. I guess it's just not a priority which is a pity when you consider how simple it would be to put it back in the game relatively speaking and that it's already content that has been written and is just sitting collecting dust.

I'm iffy on Calvin Scott, myself. I think the major call for it is merely because of its absence (that's not to say the same doesn't apply to CoP). I never got to play it, but I can imagine it's probably even moldier and dustier than the signature series TFs. The rose-colored glasses and "never got to play it" build-up would likely lead to expectations not being met.

YES! Cathedral of Pain is coming back! I actually got to experiance this once before they took it off. I was in a Massive group (they let you make up an alliance back then of more then the stanrd 8 and it was meant to require that) and we where doing really well even got a shield down and where fighting for like an hour before we realized the thing was bugged... can't recall what was wrong but any way it was rather cool looking and fun (till we figured out it was bugged) so needless to say I am amped to see it coming back and I plan to play it and actually beat it! (assuming its no longer bugged LOL)
FEEL THE PAIN PAIN IS GOOD!
