Electric melee stalker is alot of team fun
I have a lvl 35 elc/elec stalker and I think he is a blast in teams. I don't think he is that much fun solo, though.
Sounds fun! Maybe I'll roll one tonight....
My only stalker that made it to 50 is elec/nin. He is a blast to play and quite sturdy. I think elec melee really rocks on stalkers. More so than brutes for sure. My stalker is capped positionally all of the time, and if I get debuffed, I go into Shadow Meld and stand even stronger against my enemies.
Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.
"You're right...I forgot...being constantly at or the near the damage cap is a big turn off. Definitely not worth it."

I haven't given Electrical Melee a go yet on any archetype. After reading this I think I'll try it on a Stalker.
(I'm also getting seriously addicted to stealth playing A Stalker, 2 VEATs and a Warshade at the mo )
Edit: Aside from Ninjutsu, what secondaries have people tried with Elec, and how would you rate it? I've been eyeing up Electrical Armor and Regen. Would either of those work or not? And whats the problem with Elec/Elec solo, Adam?

As for elec melee, Lightning rod is one of the most fun attacks I've ever used in this game. But I think Thunderstrike is overrated (really small radius and only the primary target gets hit with really great damage) and chain induction just isn't that great.
AoE is meant to really pile up the bodies, and my stalker CAN do that on a team, but solo, it's not realy satisfying because stalkers don't have the health and Elec doesn't offer enough defense for you use AoE on more than 5 or so mobs at a time.
Maybe it will change when I get some IO sets in there. As of now, I am 35 and only have standard inventions in my attacks and defense, no sets.
Elec/Nin here. I don't stalk so much as I explode. I run x6/-1 and can generally slaughter groups of enemies without a LOT of issues, only needing to pop the heal or inspirations now and then. The key is aoe, aoe, aoe, aoe.
That said, once I found out that the character plays better splattering huge groups with AOE... I kinda lost interest. Before then I was running x2 and playing it tactically, doing assassin's shocks from out of hide and strategically eliminating targets. THAT was fun for me. Being a walking explosion isn't really "stalking" in any way, shape or form. I'll probably roll a different stalker for that, likely a Kinetic, with GR.

I have a lvl 50 elec/elec, it gets a lot of playtime because it is just so dang fun. It plays a bit different than a defense-based set: I rarely ever us AS, opting for instead BU/LR/TS combo, then hitting shadow meld and scrapping it out with the remaining mobs. In order to feel sturdy enough I needed to invest into some S/L defense, otherwise it was just a bunch of mobs wittling my health down to nothing in short order (and that heal only buys you precious seconds in that case). With 33% S/L and shadow meld on a 10 sec cooldown it works reasonably well, you just have to be careful not to bite off more than you can chew is all. And the complete end drain and -recovery resistance is plain awesome.
My only beef is the single target damage isn't spectacular, but it is a reasonable tradeoff for the massive AoE it provides.
Elec/EA and I love it. Softcapped to many things by level 35 (kinetic combat and eradications don't go any higher), and all the commonish types at 50 (in fact with a fair bit to spare to deal with debuffs). Shadow meld to deal with psi alphas.
This was the toon I made as a soloing/marketeering project and literally did not team till I got to 50. I love it both solo and on teams, but the playstyle and attacks used are completely different.
It's true. This game is NOT rocket surgery. - BillZBubba

I am having alot of fun leveling a new Electric/Ninja stalker in mostly team play. Got him up to level 40 now, and with 4 sets of IOs giving me 3.75% to melee defense I can see he is playing better than I ever imagined a stalker could play on a team.
If feels like a blaster with full time bubbles from a couple of defenders. Build up, lightning rod, and then thunderstrike and most of the spawn is cooked, especially if I get the crit on the thunderstrike. With the right (non -def mobs) he can even jump in before anybody else on the team does without too much worry.
Nothing most of you dont already know, but figured I would share anyway.
