Buff Bar Suggestion: Show Only My Buffs
I wouldn't use this, but I don't see any gameplay issues against it. Well, aside from teh fact that in my case showing any buff bar while in Ultra Mode hardlocks the game and makes me kill it via task manager (which I've been /bugging since friggin' I17 closed beta. )

yeah, I like this idea. Sometimes I don't need to kow who the Emp is Forting. I want to be able to see where I need to Speed Boost.

This would make me a lot less reluctant to play characters with short-duration buffs.
Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

Having to agree with the idea that this would help my buffers, especially my reactive buffers like those with Clear Mind style powers. I see no bad here.

One thing I was thinking about is the teammate buff bar and how crowded it gets sometimes. Turning off auto-powers helps a bit but even then you can easily get 10+ buffs per teammate which makes it very hard to pick out specific ones.
So, what I think would be useful is a "hide buffs from other players" feature so that your teammates buff bars can be set to only display buffs they are receiving from you along with enemy debuffs (so you can potentially see when someone is mezzed). The game already keep track of the source of a particular buff so it should be feasible to implement. What do people think? |
Also: you'd want this to show buffs from you, AND enemy effects. That way you'd see the 'hold' icon on a held ally.
It does say 'along with enemy debuffs' in the OP.

Great idea.. Icons are so small also..
I loose the speed boost icon in the mix of a dozen others when I am looking to see if I missed a buff or something.. Sometimes a fight gets slightly intense and you can loose track on who you did and didn't buff when your healing or trying to remove a a mezz or ress stun off someone.. Again because they are so small and so many
