But I guess the few times I tried PvP, I got discourage by all the smack talk and plain stupid behavior. And since I haven't really looked into it so things might have changed but I just never cared enough to check.
Now, that being said, since this seems fun, I might come take a look one of these days.
If you cant hang, then get out the kitchen....! Most of time there no smack talk unless you open your beek. Most people are left alone if your just pvping and minding your business. Being that said you come out and try pvp...its open another door to this game which pretty fun... seeing how your toon holds up against another. Where in this games balls and brain goes together to pew pew some. Hope to see you there and give a whirl.

But I said i'd give it a try and i'll probably do when I'll find a toon that I think would be fun to play.
Hawk, if you often get discouraged by the smack talk in pvp I suggest you try out some kickball stuff. The smack talk and stupid behavior there is extremely minimal. Maybe do that for awhile and then go to zone when you have a toon that can beat the idiots (My self included) talkin smack in broadcast. That'll shut em up 
But seriously, if youre looking for a starter PvP toon, blasters, especially fire/em's are always good.

I have never been a big fan of pvp although i have tinkered with it at times... i just dont have the knack for it i guess. But with that said, this sounds fun. sounded fun the first time i saw this event posted. I will try this out and see if it grows on me to attempt more pvp stuff. I have a lowbie blaster i can bring for this. Or i can make something else. sign meh up!

This was loads of fun. We had six or seven Stalkers in the matches so someone would take damage then a cascade of Assassin's Strikes would follow.
It was pretty cool, though having Sting of the Wasp and AS was rough, heh. Still, there would end up being some massive fight club going on and bodies would be rolling all over the place.
We also did a Capture the Flag tryout, looks like.

That was a blast. It was funny seeing a herd of melee'rs chasing after someone at half health like sharks smelling blood in the water, killing the weakened melee'r and then turning on each other!
