Well once I get everything tweaked out and working properly, I will venture into that verification area. Not sure what I plan to do with that yet.
I may do away with meeting in game due to the fact that there are so many badges now a days. I may just change it up a bit and have people post screenshots of their badge window that was it can be done whenever versus trying to have everyone's schedule available to have it done.

That's a good idea, but how would that work with explorations badges (as they all look identical), and gladiators for that matter.

I'm just trying to avoid meeting in game, mainly for the GR part hen it goes live, to sit there and look at over 1000 badge and check on the site is going to be real time consuming.

I know the ideal would have been the City Vault, but that seems doomed for the present.

To be honest, most people can run HS, and auto verify themselves, its usually just a user error why they can't get it working. I've spoken with loads of people in game and in emails and PMs on settign this up and working out their problems getting it set up and afterwards they are good to go. I have come across a handful of people that just wasn;t puter savy at all. All they knew how to do was load the game and play
But its all good, I will figure something out.

Getting people to create their characters and reverify isn't a problem at all, most are ok with it since the site is new and it would be nice to test out the new server under load as well. So there are many reason why the data dump won't be done. Although it would be nice. I would rather not.
I kinda wanna put the new site to the test so to speak
make sure it can handle what I need it to. But GR will be the true test I think.

I know that there are some people who absolutely refuse to use CIT/Titan. Granted, I don't know/remember why, but they do exist.
I would also think that in this day and age of "internet privacy," if either of the sites were to just share user information, **** would hit the fan.
I am curious as to reasons for using one site over the other. I figure part of it is a community aspect, but I still don't know. The forums over at Titan tend to be very quiet, and it's hard to gather feedback there.

Personally, I don't like the whole Titan Key thing, instantly signing me up for things I don't want/care about, like CoH Faces, or access to edit the Wiki. If there were an option during TK creation to check a box for the parts of the TN that I want my TK to work with, and the ability to check/uncheck them at a later date if I change my mind, I probably wouldn't care.
Then, too, I've been using Badge-Whoré/Hunter since before Beef took over.

I think a lot of people use both. I even use both, I may not update both at the same time or forget one or the other, but I use them both.
Some people do have a preference and may like one over the other, but thats the luxury of choice I guess
But both sites do the same thing, one may have a feature that the other doesn't, but thats to be expected.

On a side note, I personally wish we could burn faces to the ground and sow salt into the ground it stands on. But then again *shrugs* some people like to use it, and therefore we keep it up in a low-priority mostly maintenance mode.

I figure it'll be a good backup one way or the other in case one site is down and I need to check something real quick. I never even noticed how often I used the pages until now that I don't have the information store anywhere. I keep checking to see which badge I still need for an accolade, or quickly checking which one of my toons has not yet done certain TFs/Tasks... and I'm disappointed. lol
Well hopefully everything will be back to normal soon.. and better than ever!
