NVidia 197.45 Drivers: Problems?
I can't recall hearing of any issues with those drivers but I'm on ATI so I can't offer any first-hand experience in the matter.
It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.
I'm using 197.45 drivers on my computer, AMD 4400, XP, 2GB, 70GB Raptor HD, GTX 260 216 core with an OC. No problems for the most part with COX or COD UO, Battlefield 1 and 2 and DDO. I have a sparklie effect on some maps where it seems the "texture maps" join, but I also had those with the older, 191 drivers. I need to post a picture.
I'm liking em, and seems most on guru3D are. Running everything on Ultra Mode, world detail gets laggy over 100% so don't bump it past that, and gettin an average of 20 FPS on redside maps, a lil higher with vsync off.
Here are some pics of the vid glitches I mentioned. Had these before I upgraded the video card and drivers, so I don't think their related to this new driver set, but thought I'd post and see if anyone else is seein 'em.

I've been having issue with CoH on vista and windows 7 for more than a year now using the Nvidia drivers. fortunately it doesn't seem it affects everyone but it is something you might want to know about.
I sometimes get a "Driver stopped responding" error message, which obviously makes the game crash.
Now remember that I was having this issue more than a year ago with older drivers, so if you aren't currently having that problem there is a good change you won't have it with the new driver.
Running Windows XP,service pack 2: I upgraded to 197.45-although CoH ran pretty well, some of my older games were mis-behaving (Neverwinter Nights 2 in particular)-I ended up rolling back to a earlier version to get all my games running again.
all me desktops are on these drivers, no issues on any of em

I started having trouble with the 197.45 divers with my NVidia GT220 about a month ago. They worked fine in the Dark Mirror Beta, but then I started getting a black screen freeze after about 30 minutes.
I updated to the 257.15 Beta drivers last night and ran fine for about 2 hours and now I am crashing all the time. Frustrated enough that I might just go out and get a new ATI 5770 or 5850 this weekend.

Was going to upgrade my video drivers, but thought I'd ask if anyone's had problems with the 197.45 version for Vista64.
Anything to worry about?
