Now I bet this has been covered before and others before me have
had a go at creating their own power set as a bit of laugh but hell
I just had to give it a whirl and blow me but it wasn't easy to come
up with some thing that is ballanced an dnot ove rpowered, makes
you realize just how much of a Rum-Do the developers have creating
powers sets! O_o

Um bare with me this is quite a long read heh!



BEAM RIFLE.
[Archetype: Blaster & Corruptor]

Name: Beam.
Description: A continuous beam of energy is released at a single target
at a very Long Range.

Damage: High.
Recharge: Moderate.

Enhancements:
Enhance Accuracy.
Enhance Damage.
Enhance Defence DeBuff.
Reduce Endurance Cost.
Enhance Range.
Enhance Recharge Speed


Name: Pulse.
Description:This fires a rapid number of energy pulses towards a single
target.

Damage: Moderate Damage over Time.
Recharge: Fast.

Enhancements:
Reduce Endurance Cost.
Increase Attack Rate.
Enhance Range.
Enhance Knockback Distance.
Enhance Accuracy.
Enhance Damage.


Name: Stun Blast.
Description: When this beam of energy hits it overloads the central nerves
system of the target causing it to be paralysed for a period of time.

Damage: Foe Immobilised.
Recharge: Fast.

Enhancements:
Enhance Accuracy.
Reduce Endurance Cost.
Enhance Immobilisation Duration.
Enhance Range.
Increase Attack Rate.


Name: Red Dot.
Description:Using state of the art technology to increase the the range and
accuracy of your the Beam Rifle.

Damage: Self +To Hit, +Damage.
Recharge: Long.

Enhancements:
Reduce Endurance Cost.
Enhance To Hit Buff.
Enhance Range.
Enhance Accuracy.
Enhance Recharge Speed.

Name: Disruptor.
Description:Releasing a powerful microwave emmison this allows a number of
enemies to be targeted at the same time.

Damage: Moderate.(Cone)
Recharge: Moderate.

Enhancements:
Reduce Endurance Cost.
Increase Attack Rate.
Enhance Range.
Enhance Knockback Distance.
Enhance Accuracy.
Enhance Damage.


Name: Foot Fall.
Description: By aiming at the fee of the targeted enemy as the advance
you can slow them down.

Damage: Minor Damage & Foe -Speed
Recharge: Slow.

Enhancements:
Reduce Endurance Cost.
Increase Attack Rate.
Enhance Range.
Enhance Recharge Speed.
Enhance Slow.


Name: Flash Flare.
Description: Emitting a bright flash of light the target is dissorented.

Damage: Foe Disorient.
Recharge: Slow.

Enhancements:
Reduce Endurance Cost.
Enhance Recharge Speed.
Enhance Range.
Enhance Accuracy.
Enhance Disorient Duration.

Reduce Endurance Cost

Name: Charge Particle Beam.

Description: By overloading the powercells beyond the safety limits of the
Beam Rifle you can unleash an explosion that will cause formidable damage
to both you and your enemies that can vaporise just about any thing in its
path.

Damage: Sniper & Extreme Damage(Lethal).
Recharge: Very Long.

Enhancements:
Enhance Damage.
Reduce Endurance Cost.
Enhance Accuracy.
Enhance Knockback Distance.
Enhance Range.
Enhance Recharge Speed.


Name: Nuke.
Description: By overloading the powercells beyond the safety limits of the
Beam Rifle you can unleash an explosion that will cause formidable damage
to both you and your enemies.

Damage: Extreme (Area of Effect) & Requires full Endurance but also
Reduces your Endurance to zero and your health to 5%.
Recharge: Very Long.

Enhancements:
Enhance Damage.
Reduce Endurance Cost.
Enhance Accuracy.
Enhance Knockback Distance.
Enhance Range.
Enhance Recharge Speed.

I know of one of my friends who would LOVE a powerset like this. I think the Tier 9 is a little TOO dangerous, however. Could do a Targetted AoE Nuke, that's like the normal nukes. Reduce endurance to 0 and all.

That would be Self Destruct avable with the Cyborg Upgrade Package,
Or do you mean the Endurance Only would go to zero or the Health would
compleatly go down to zero as well?

Good suggestions, I'd just recommend renaming some of these hypothetical powers like "Flash" and "Overload" since there are already powers with those names.

I.E. "Flash Round" or "Overload Rifle"

I'd suggest looking at Energy Transfer for incorporating self damage into attacks. One of the things that it does is swap HP for damage and endurance. The Snipe would receive a significant boost in damage relative to other sets. Meanwhile, if the tier 9 "nuke" also inflicts damage to self, it would not only do more damage but probably shouldn't drain you of all endurance.

I know it sounds CRAZY, but I would love to have a massive ranged attack that not only damaged oneself, but also inflicted an irresistible mag 2 knockback on oneself. The damage would truly be off the charts.

Plasma attacks for Robots has a chance of inflicting -regeneration, which you might want to incorporate as well.

Heck, I'd settle for just a variant of Assault Rifle with the same powers, even same damage, just using the Laser Rifle animations (like from Robots Masterminds). Your rifle goes "Pew pew!" instead of "bang bang!" But otherwise same set.

Well, the problem is that Assault Rifle doesn't do Energy damage, and the Beam Rifle would. I have to admit, it would be nice to have such a Power Set, but it's not likely to be high on the priority list.

A more likely possibility would be the option to fire Energy Blast from a beam rifle (not to mention Fire Blast from a flamethrower and maybe Ice Blast from one of those Crey pistols) but that would introduce redraw into a set that doesn't have it. Until the redraw issues are resolved in a manner that would allow that, I don't see that happening either.

Maybe in I99? When there's nothing else left to make into a Power Set?

God works evil, well finaly got some free time will change those names and
stuff with an edit, So FLash and Overload will be renamed.

Flash Round & Overload Rifle, both good replacement names hmnnn lets
see.

well as a temporate fix they could actualy do the assualt rifle adaption,i mean yes they whouldent do energy damage but am i the only one that doesnt care per se what kind of damage my attacks do ?

You know the Master Mind Robotic power Set that actualy uses a form of
Energy Rifle called the Pulse Rifle wonder if They will bring it out as a new
Corruptor/Dominator/Blaster/Defender Power Set as well?

I just gotta say, I would despise a power that required me to be at maximum endurance to use.

Aye I can see where your coming from Zandock but at the same time I
have to say on a personal not that you can't have an extreamly powerful
attack with out some sacrifice other wise it would be just way to over
powered and unbalanced.

The more powerful the attack the more Endurance it would need to pull
off, and to show it's a weapon of desperation and last resort it woul
effect all in its area of effect Foe and your character.
In away a poor mans version of 'Self Destruct' which I have to say rocks
big time except you don't die out right like you would with 'Self Destruct'.

But then again that's just my own opinion.
