Stiki, about those soldiers. I wrote Pious's attack failures and success based on the information you gave in their description. I hope I understood it correctly that they had forcefields, impervium armour, kevlar lining and chainmail vests, but are some sort of trained humans? With essence? And armed with rockets, bullets and energy pulsers by the looks of it. If thats accurate, then its safe to guess Pious survived the onslaught and his now locked in a duel with Leeches?
Yeah they basically were like council soldiers, sort of fed a super serum, and pretty much had forcefield and the energy set time powers. Plus they are sort of trained to be brutal and savage like arachnos soldiers so that could probably give them a tainted aura. So yup works fine.

Anyone wondering what he's talking about when it comes to vampires and nosferatu, in his opinion Vampires were never meant to rule. They are more of an ideal, a symbol, something that is immortal and everpresent and, while powerful, not overbearing. Anyone claiming otherwise will be met by laughter.

The Corporation had a directors & managers meeting to discuss the whole situation, what they should do and who they should help. They are now preparing and will show their hand soon enough in game I'm sure.

Woh, woh, woh....awful lot of metagame in that news reporter. Sorry, but unless they have the powers of, like, DJ zero, thats an awful lot of stuff that they somewho know.
For one, 'renegade vampire Leon DeFeurard'? Leon hasn't exactly been in the headlines since his ressurection; he's been working very much on the quiet as a sort of weapon for MAGI, used at their discretion, and keeping to himself when not on the job.
Now that he's free of them, he'll start doing his own thing. But, for now, unless they somehow have super-sound microphones and a identical face-match database, there is very little way they would be able to ID Leon.

Damsel, a little error in that news report, Alex Balfear and Blade Balfear are cousins not brothers. And agrreing with alpha, how do they know about Drake Flame and about Gabriel and everything when it only happened a limited number of hours previous?
T'be honest, the part about 'What seems like an all out war' was accurate. Everything after that descends into meta-gaming. As an overview it worked, but not as a news report.

Given DA is also a Restricted area you have to pass through a Hazard Zone gate. Logically that gate could be monitored.
Now would the government give the press that information might not work. Some people could also be known to the Press due to earlier Adventures.
I like the post it kind of clarifies what gone on so far.
Yeah I think it's okay. On-the-battleground face recognition software-carriers, sound mics, Dark Astoria ID gates, energy signature trackers, magic investigators, computer-hacking jounalists... whatever. Look we shouldn't stamp on creativity trying to explain out a comicbook too much. Get on with it and enjoy the fun. Okay, we're all aware that the OOC/IC knowledge cross-over is metagaming and that's got to be handled sensitively, so if there are roleplayers who do have a problem with certain information writen into the post, I'm sure Rachel's fine to edit it and delete stuff. It's forum RP. Quite often, the easiest and quickest way do recaps is publish > feedback > edit. Lets all try to stay calm when pointing out other people's mistakes, otherwise people get upset. She's only trying to help.
Damsel, its ok, i was just confused as to how they know about Drake when he was killed in his own home in Talos and not at the battle field is all. Sorry if i made you angry

Taking a moment to drop work and look at the post myself I'm a little conflicted. Firstly the post does an excellent job of summing up Open Season so far so I really like the idea of keeping it to help hold the plot together....
However I can see a couple of elements that some players might put down to possible metagaming so feel that those particular points should be addressed. On the positive side seeing as Damsel has graciously agreed to make edits I do not see any reason for this not to resolved in a civil manner. Therefore if anyone has issues with said post/news report I suggest they pm Damsel with the information they would like edited.
An example would be Alpha's character Leon. It's fairly simple to make him an as yet un-identified player. Besides even if he was ID'd by "On-the-battleground face recognition software-carriers, sound mics, Dark Astoria ID gates, energy signature trackers, magic investigators, computer-hacking jounalists..." etc. It's conceivable MAGI might keep that info to themselves to avaoid embarrissment, etc., and still keep Alpha's character Leon's anonymity.
Remember this is about having fun and showcasing creativity. If anybody has concerns please pm those concerns to the appropriate player. Im certain most issues can be resolved without any conflict between players.
Would M.A.G.I legally be allowed to do that, given the body stealing spirits, Malta agents and Nemesis automatons I'd imagine that the branches of the F.B.S.A would have constant checks going on between the branches.
Just my 2p however, and try not to wreck too much of Dark Astoria, I live there :P
