Open Season (Unionverse Open RP OOC)
lol, nah the CoT attack was just a sub plot, something to keep the story moving, they all finished their stuff so want a piece of my pie, back i say! my pie! but yeah its as good a reason as any for them to stop fighting, lol

The Impervium Tower plot is a mess... Me and Eleven planned a big ' towering' fight.. Jemma's spell completly destroyed that. We planned a defeat only possible by help from the Dunhelm group. Pious and Jemma removed/ignored that too.
Pious is obviously not impressed by Tower. Logical.. he hasn' t seen anything yet.. hmm.. aside of it going through everything and anything in its way!
Liz can pinpoint it and I can easily bring it back but for drama I will keep it hard for her. I like drama... unlike some...
I need to know what Jemma planned.. Pious thinks she is moving it to the Isles... but Eleven (and Me) still see it floating in a pocket ' transfer' dimension. Is it moving and reappearing out of itself or shall I let Liz pull it out? If so... expect a dramatic exit point for the Tower! Jemma wanted it to be out of Liz her way.. so I think it should be seen as in a pocket dimension that blocks a part of Liz her magic... but is that so?!
I need input on this!
- The Italian Job: The Godfather Returns #1151
Beginner - Encounter a renewed age for the Mook and the Family when Emile Marcone escapes from the Zig!
- Along Came a... Bug!? #528482
Average - A new race of aliens arrives on Earth. And Vanguard has you investigate them!
- The Court of the Blood Countess: The Rise of the Blood Countess #3805
Advanced - Go back in time and witness the birth of a vampire. Follow her to key moments in her life in order to stop her! A story of intrigue, drama and horror! Blood & Violence... not recommend to solo!
well im obviously not sure but dont think Pious has anything to do with it, also doesnt seem like Jemma sent it anywhere, Pious made a guess that it was back to the isles, to bathory but it seemed like only a guess to me so i think she just kicked him in a portal to anywhere but there.
Btw if they had fought would Impervium had been destroyed? or would he escape? the Dunelm group would have tried to destroy it and move on, little need for a team up, and if it did escape then its fit to come back which is basically whats happening now isnt it? big dramatic return, hell you could do it in the middle of a fight, big unstoppable killing machine walks out of a dark portal, something like that would scare the hell out of people!.
Anyway i obviously know as much as you on this subject but i wouldnt worry too much, i dont know there plans but tbh, i dont think they have any plans=)
Seems like a spur of the moment kinda deal, it worked out in the end, maybe something to learn for next time and hopefully improve upon of course.

Edit: Thought I better re-word this now that I'm back from work. Hopefully my point is now a little bit clearer. See Alpha's quote for the original post if you wish.
You confuse me sometimes Liz. You and all these planning. When it comes to Forum RP, some things just happen naturally. Lets talk about the characters Pious and Tower for a moment. Tower is a violent and unstoppable machine made of the strongest metal. Pious is a non-violent angelic spirit with elemental powers. Tower attacking Pious would possibly just result in Tower being teleported away until Dunelm Group can come and deal with it.
It's simple; Pious is a religious pacifist. He would only throw a punch if there was no better/other option. You know that. So he would never truly recognise Tower or any other machine as an actual credible threat when its just a lifeless object, unlike a person (who has human and moral rights). You want to give Priest a real fight? For drama? Or whatever other reason that I don't actually understand? Then maybe pull a Kahn? Back in that fight, Pious had no other choice but to place himself as a shield and try to stop Kahn fulfilling his threat to kill more Longbow.
Even in-game that was a one-way fight for Kahn, he was going to be the one who wins the fight no matter what other power Pious brought to the table. But it could also have been a draw. I could have had Pious use granite armour and keep healing until everyone got bored, or have him use his gravity control skills and teleport/wormhole Kahn until Pious makes a mistake or fails. (This would have been the strategy of choice with Impervium Tower had Jemma not done it first). Anyway, I didn't do that because Pious was psychologically faulted; he knew deep down that he was guilty as charged and deserved every blow he received from Kahn, so he just took it instead of trying to defend himself, or going for a draw.
You say the Impervium Tower plot is a mess but I thought it only just started? You and Eleven planned a big towering fight but it seems to me both the Ghost of Death and the Priest were in no mood to fight anything. Jemma sent the threat away or trapped it somewhere. Problem postponed. And now Dunelm Group are taking steps to 'solve' it. Its not my fault if RP doesn't always play out as you want it to. We all try to stay true to our characters and so they will always do whatever it is that they do, and what Pious does best is peace-talk his enemies to boredom so it's highly unlikely that you'll get a fist-fight out of him.
There done! Not intending to fight, already discussed this with Thundarrer, so making my escape. Tenro only moves at about 55-60 miles per hour (he's kinda like capt, peak human potential) but he should be hidden, and is a master at hiding in plain sight. However, I'm all up for a chase or hunt if you will, even being caught as long as you realise it won't go past a local jail cell (think a mayham mission style jail lol)
Enough!
I'm getting enough crap as it is from my day job, I am not going to have trouble from anyone or any side when it comes to my gaming time!
As far as I was concerned we had managed to build a consensus through diplomatic means. Yes I might have preferred things to go a little differently but I think compromises were met and most people got what they wanted.
I mean hell, after the impression of success and enjoyment I got from most involved with The Dunelm Group and the Nighthunters the other night, why am I getting dragged into some heat all of a sudden?
Admittedly Pious, your character is difficult to build plot with most of the time it comes off as being too perfect. However there was still room to work with so I think it is safe to say we still came to an agreement without any fuss. It has got Tower and The Dunelm Group noticed, Ghost of Death (Who has been very accommodating, much appreciated) has got what she wanted and inflict loss on Liz Bathory by placing one of her main bodyguards out of reach, which leaves Liz with even more excuse to go knock seven kinds of crap out of her enemies which is what she wants. Wasn't exactly to original plan but we got pretty much the result we were looking for.
I do agree with Erik's (Liz) mentality though. This is a world of Super Heroes and Villains. We operate in an environment where everyone's characters are expected to battle within the game, ether in PvE environments or sometimes PvP, or a story written here on the forums or on the Union Wiki. I say I am part of the RP crowd on Union but not many people see my toons in the social gathering areas much and its because since I am playing as Super Powered beings, I work on the philosophy of "Less talk, more smash!"
I prefer IC missions and fighting than standing around all night somewhere talking. Now there is a need for character to talk to each other at some point outside of battle otherwise nothing would get done, or would not make any sense. Sure some people would have found the walls of text at the meeting the other night boring. In my defence though I'll say yes it can be but it let it happen once in a while in order to establish something character do not know. Many there had no idea who I was or my characters and came away knowing exactly who we were. Now that has happened once and the coalition has been established now we just go smash!
Hell my sig is a jokey 300 like comment on professions in game.
I'm going to finish here so, my point is, we have all got an idea of how everything to going to turn out. We might have different ideas how we get there but I have proved that consensus can be found without breaking the essence of what makes our characters who they are.
While I appreciate being asked to become involved in this plot ans the kinds words I have got so far for my contributions I am admittedly not that good at forum RP specifically mostly down to the fact that I can not guarantee I kind find the time to make frequent and adequately detailed posts. I am willing to allow others to write stories on the forum that involve my toons and can give pointers and offer direct dialogue suggestions. I am more an IC, in game smasher and happy to get involved in this from the game perspective through the existing missions in game or missions people make in AE and even PvP if necessary although I am not a fan so much of the PvP engine in this game.
But if any bickering is going to continue and I am going to be dragged into choosing sides, then all I am going to do is choose no ones side and say "screw this" and walk away to find something else to do with my time on my own in game.

I normally don't do this as I feel its up to the characters to decide how they react to the stimulus we give them but I have one little gripe. Now absorbing the grenades attack I fully understand, and will expect Thunderar to write as his character is in power surge, but the daggers bit kinda confuses me because my character was in hide, performed the attack at extremely close range ( he was flipping over her as he did it) and I feel we should let Alexia Morgan decide how that goes, unless you change it slightly perhaps? While I don't know the full extent of pious' powers, military personal even advance ones like longbow etc would almost never see my character without some form of assistance.
No I didn't get asked by Pious either if he could make that move on my behalf which puzzles me as well. I can see from the way UltraNova wrote it alex should at least take one hit but her being what she is it wouldn't affect her much anyway.
I have had my eyes opened... and without the people I love I would of never of gained my wings...

Tower is an unstoppable machine made of the strongest metal. Pious is an angelic spirit with elemental powers. Tower vs Pious = Tower being teleported away. Again, and again and again. Problem postponed until Dunelm Group can come and just collect it and deal with it.

But I didn't do that because Pious was psychologically faulted; he knew deep down that he was guilty as charged and deserved every blow he received from Kahn, so he just took it. You say the Impervium Tower plot is a mess? I thought it only just started? You and Eleven planned a big towering fight? The Priest wins.
The Priest will always win. Because he can do anything, and survive anything, and teleport anything away. You can't kill the Priest. You can't even have a half decent fight with him. It just-
Meh. I'm frankly giving up on the Open Season Plot until things get into line a bit more, tbh. Take that whatever way you want, I really don't care. Thats my opinion, and its one im sticking too. This whole thing IS a mess (no fault of Eleven's, either), and I want no part in that. Once Game can post a bit more, maybe I can get involved again with that side of things.
Until then, ciao.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Jeez. Well then I've either failed to get my point across with poor choice of words or you've misread my post or both. Easier done then in fewer sentences; the Priest will not fight. He'll let others who can win that fight do the fighting, (in this case the Dunelm Group) otherwise he'll just find a way to avoid it; Jemma.
I still a bit confused on how my attack was clear for all to see? Alexia seems to understand it is a sneak attack, done from the power hide (which my character has prety much to the highest order in game and in RP) perhaps I didn't make that clear in my original post or do you have a VERY high perception? ( again not fully aware of ALL pious' powers as he exists as a multitude of toons?) Anyways I know its not that important to the story as a whole, I just felt as if my characters actions were being ignored. I will drop it if others feel I am pressing a issue that doesn't exist.
The assailant may be stealthed but daggers are usually visible objects. With superspeed and heightened response, a hero could typically save a target from the impact of a thrown knife, but never mind. I don't think its an issue worth a debate and I'd rather we get on with this so I've removed the part about the super soldiers helping Misty. I think its fair to say the sub-plots are done so I'll be leaving now until Liz and Big Game decide when to start the finale, or whatever it is.
I have posted a response to Tower being dropped into the sea. He will be out of the picture for a few weeks minimum. There will be some form of plot or mini plot when Tower gets back to the Isles but that will not happen unless it is allowed to be a mini plot within Open Season or likely to be held off as a new plot once Open Season closes as it were.
I have also wrote a bit of Leon Tasker giving orders to The Dunelm Group to respond to request for help from The Nighthunters or anyone else affected by something involving Open Season. If you are doing something in game and IC, send a tell and I will bring an appropriate character.
If you are making a story/post on the forum instead and want to make use of some of my toons (who are operating in pairs for their own safety) then you can try to find me in game or send me a PM. Happy to let other write in and use my toons for a story, just obviously need an idea of how you want to use them and will offer advice on how they might react to something or if you want me to write a direct piece of dialogue.

I too edited my post to say to clarify the attack was at point blank range thus not undermining your superspeed, waiting now to see how the others reaction!

hope noone minds me posting there, just been waiing for a while to do that
btw so just everyone knows it, Ghost Of Death has added the 13 of august to her post so we know it takes place a few weeks after the attack on steel canyon by the circle, the police would still be on high alert after it all of course
http://union.virtueverse.net/wiki/The_Thunderar - My main, under construction
yeah Pious, was kinda expecting someone to come and find him
Adam Moore has struck the Castle and seems set to fight Bathory in a one-man war to the death. It's all a little unexpected and rather abrupt, but in my opinion, a positive surprise. But at the rate this is going, should we not consider how this second assault on Castle Bathory will impact the overall plot? Game?
well if its more of a stand still situation then i would assume something along the lines of....you dont come into paragon we wont come into the isles?
thats kind of the only way i can see this going, otherwise one of the sides has to be at least crippled in its operations
maybe the side that loses has to keep going in secret to rebuild itself or whatever, just a thought
