I'm pretty certain that if the drop rates were doubled the market prices would take a nice dip in prices I'm not sure for how long though.

EDIT: I think I would prefer the double merit idea. It's less random and gives a good reason to team up with others to run a TF/SF/Trial (well, there are several good reasons even now, but it might help to make it even more attractive.)
I'm pretty sure that on a team you would be able to notice a difference in amount of drops if they averaged 15 per mission.
I'd also support a double merit weekend or maybe even go as far as to say double reward weekend! Double drops, merits, and tickets!!!

I like the idea.
Maybe even make it 2x weekend and have everything double.... double xp, drop rate, merits, etc...
would probably play hell on the market for a while, but it would sure be a fun time =)
