Does acid mortar stack?
Yes. There are two ways to prevent powers from stacking in the game:
1. "Does not stack from same caster" flag on a power effect.
2. Being [Vengeance], or the Widow equivalent.
The latter is due to a mode created specifically for Vengeance. Veng puts the target in "Vengeance Mode", and Vengeance won't cast itself on a target in Vengeance Mode. Other powers set modes (Dual Blades has a set of modes to operate the combos, and Swap Ammo works by modes), but I suspect the devs want to keep the number of such modes low, as it merely complicates things.
The former is found all over the place. But since powers like Acid Mortar have effects originating from a pet, rather than from you, summoning multiple pets creates multiple -- different -- casters for the "non-stacking" effects.
In short: Acid Mortar stacks because it must stack.

You can stack Vengeance. You just have to do it within the same server tick. (a popular tactic is to have two or more people queue Vengeance on a dead teammate our of range and a third recall friend the dead teammate within range.)

The plan seems complex by teaming standards. It's enough of a Rubick's Cube to just get others to "Don't kill my anchor."
I don't even thing Vengeance is popular. Sure, I'm fascinated by it currently, but I never see it, except when...either council or malta...use it against me. That's the whole reason I took it.

Oh Vengeance is pretty popular...at least on the teams I play in.. for some reason my friends refer to me as the Vengbait...
Seriously though, Vengeance is a great tool to go along Fallout and Rez and it helps everyone near it (beside the dead man )

But acid mortar says it so that it doesn't stack with itself as each tick of the debuff lasts longer than 5 seconds, rather than preventing a second mortar from working in addition to the first. It can be confusing though.

Electro, what game is your avatar from?
Thanks for the help all. I did a respec and went Mu patron and included thunderstrike and fences. The build is working perfectly. Bots still die, but other stuff dies quicker.
Orc&Pie No.53230 There is an orc, and somehow, he got a pie. And you are hungry.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.
I know I can place 2, but are the effects actually stacking with each other? This is for a robots/traps mastermind. I am just wondering since we got a respec with the issue. I am about to respec him, just trying to get the final slotting down. I would like to just re-adjust minor things, but if he can go from being crazy to insane, I will move as many slots as I have to.
