Planning an AV soloer.
Looks like a solid enough build. Are you specifically wanting to make a scrapper than can solo AV's? I only ask because there are a lot more capable choices than scrappers that can do it faster and easier.
Fire/sr is a pretty fun combo though, I have one myself.
Yep, I want it to be a Scrapper. I already have a Rad/Son Defender and a Bots/Traps redside who can cream AVs pretty easily. The MM was taking down AVs in his twenties... so I am looking for something with a bit more challenge now.
Ok, hope this helps.
I'm not really a numbers kind of guy... but I'll see what I can do. Hope it tides you over until Umbral sees this and responds.
Right now it seems your attack string that you want isn't possible with the build provided.
Here is what I got.
Scorch -> Cremate -> Scorch = 3.5 seconds of activation time. That means that's the amount of time you have for Incinerate to recharge to have a seamless chain. Right now Incinerate is sitting at 4.06 seconds, giving you a .56 seconds (about half a second) to twiddle your thumbs. I believe if you get Incinerate below 3.5 seconds recharge, you would have a seamless chain.
I am pretty sure that the Highest ST DPS chain for Fire melee is Cremate -> Incinerate -> Cremate -> GFS... but I could be wrong.
I cannot comment on the question of if it has enough DPS to solo an AV. (all the procs are hard for me to calculate dps). I CAN tell you that I was not satisfied with my FM/SR for AV soloing. The high Def and the High DoT makes AVs run like hell =(. I soloed one AV and quit, it was too much hassle. I have heard people using Ring of Fire or Challenge to stop them from running... but I rolled a DM/SR for my AV soloing instead.
Edit:
Are you sure you don't want a travel power?
I like to grab Stimulate over Aid Other if what I really want is Aid Self. Aid Other is pretty weak without slotting, but Stimulate is the same pretty much. I'm not planning on 'healing' other people, but if some one wakies without a break free, or if the Riechsman stuns the def, it's handy to un-stun people on the fly. (I stick one Interrupt IO in there.)
Practiced Brawler is over slotted IMO, just pop one recharge in there and that will give you an extra slot. It doesn't benefit you extra if it is double stacked (unless you are fighting Romie when he rezes. Not many things out there crest your Mez Protection)
I like to slot my SR powers like this:
Toggles (including weave and maneuvers) get 4 GotA: Def, Def/End, Run, Def/End/Rech
Autos get 3 LotG: Def, Rech, Def/End or Def/Rech (whichever is cheaper at the time)
This increases your endurance and recovery.
Not saying its mandatory, it's just the way I do it, and it seems to work for me.
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.
Yea you really dont need the 2 slots in PB, pretty much can put that anywhere else. Also if this is just for end game you are better off just sticking an end reducer into as opposed to a recharge.
Just playing around with it, you could put the gaussin set in build up, drop combat jumping and pick up hasten, and just drop the kismet and lotg rech elsewhere.

Cremate has a total cast time of 1.716
So 1.188*2+1.716 = 4.092
Incinerate is recharging in 4.06
Should be good to go. I have him clocked in at 187.1734 dps w/ 10% crit chance after parasitic time of bu and pb casts (assuming the 2 slots as shown and it on auto) are eliminated and 95% tohit chance is factored in.
Use of aidself will of course lower that.
Two slots in PB is for cases of exemplaring. I'd hate to not have perma mez prot on a Sister Psyche or something. Is the running thing really that big of a problem for Fiery?
Fire/SD is a pretty good choice too, has decent taunt aura, AAO for extra damage and better resistance than SR.......I've done a few AV's with mine and Im no real gamer
I made a few changes to your build, you'll probably lose some DPS because I took most of the procs out of scorch but I increased your passive regeneration and your hit points.

Dark/Shield Build Thread
So, I finally got my first Scrapper to 50, an Elec/SD, and got her all IOed out. She destroys spawns like a beast. I'm able to lay down the AoE damage like nobody's business. The ST damage, however is rather poor. So I'd like to move on to something which will be able to bring down AVs now, and just so happens to have some nice AoE on the side, as well. Here's my plan for the build. Just wondering if I've covered all my bases on survivability, DPS, and endurance management. It's designed to run the Scorch>Incinerate>Scorch>Cremate chain. So let me know if I made any glaring errors, thanks!

I do have one suggestion: If you have the influence to put into it, I would suggest going FM/Shield instead. I got my FM/SR to 50 and she was a blast. Then I made a DM/Shield. I wish I had made a FM/Shield instead of the FM/SR due to AAO and Shield Charge. For AV soloing, FM/SR is great and also capable of doing so with a less expensive build. FM/Shield is a great deal better at it due to AAO - DPS is increased significantly, but it does cost more to do so.
Either way you go, have fun.
Thanks for the advice, guys. I'll take a look at all of it. I do realize the potential SD could add to the build, but I've leveled it to 50 as both a Tanker and a Scrapper now. The concept I'm working with goes better with SR anyway, I think.

Coolio, fire/sr is a pretty good choice then. Should be fun.

Scorch = 1 second
Cremate = 1.5 seconds
Incinerate = 1.67 seconds.
Also, how did you 'clock' the dps? Did you actually go into the game and test it? Or did you use the Mids numbers? I'm pretty sure the Mids numbers are screwy because it does not calculate the procs right.
Edit: Checked in game
Scorch Cast time = 1 second
Cremate Cast time = 1.5 seconds
Incinerate Cast time = 1.67 seconds
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.

Right attacks anyway. Highest single target DPS for Fire is Incinerate -> Greater Fire Sword -> Cremate. But it takes a ton of recharge, which isn't doing Super Reflexes much good (other than Aid Self). I think the best general-purpose chain is the Incinerate -> Scorch -> Cremate -> Scorch chain. It has reasonably-low recharge requirements and is endurance efficient.

Sooo, Actulal cast times are not the same as cast times? Whats the difference? Where did you get your cast time numbers?
So, you already have this toon created, level 50 and slotted? Is that how you are getting your numbers?
How are you factoring the % chance to do additional DoT, the procs and crits? seems like it would be hard to get a good calculation with all those % chance things.

The difference in actual cast time versus listed cast time is due to arcanatime,

As for calculating DPS properly, yes, it IS "hard to get a good calculation" purely from a build. But here's an example of one of those hard calculations for the damage done by a single power:
95%*(50*(100%+96.48%+95%*37.5%*2+22%+10.5%+5%*5.25/10)*110%+20%*71.8+15%*71.8)*(100%+(100%-81%^2)*20%)*(100%+(100%-81%^2)*20%)Which can be explained like this:
Chance to hit*(base damage*(100%+damage enhancement+chance to hit*follow up stacked twice+global damage bonus+assault+build up proc)*(100%+critical hit)+proc chance*proc damage)*(Achilles' Heel stacked twice)*(Gladiator stacked twice)Hard doesn't mean impossible. It just means hard.
I'm also not saying that I've double-checked Frosticus's numbers. I'm just saying that the numbers CAN be calculated with a high degree of accuracy.

When you are facing something with 28k hp, that you will only be netting ~100 dps after regeneration so that the evaluation period takes at least 5 minutes to complete means the % chances of things occurring will even out to something fairly consistent. That isn't to say that one run you might have a significantly faster completion time than the next, but the degree of separation will be much less than against a boss for instance. Even something with Elite Boss lvl hp could produce large differences in results each run
That said, the attacks he has selected are even easier to calculate because incinerate nor cremate actually proc their dot, only scorch does. He has no Achilles to account for, no buildup proc, and damage procs are easy to calculate over time especially when no -res is present. Compared to accurately calculating expected damage of sonic blast chains with all of the above mentioned a fire/sr is pretty easy.
