The build on PTS has a potential fix for the problems I17 introduced concerning:
1) input lag
2) packet loss
3) 3rd party software not playing nicely with CoV.

If you are experiencing this issue on live, please try out PTS so we can figure out whether or not this will solve the problems you are experiencing.

Should we re-enable things like ATI hotkey poller for these tests?

Any non-CoV programs that caused problems with CoV when you ran them alongside CoV, or vice-versa.

Examples:
Ati Hotkey-Poller
Ventrilo
etc.

Note that this doesn't mean that CoV is officially supporting using these programs alongside CoV...we're just hoping that they no longer cause problems with CoV.

The Television doesn't particularly care about Heroes having these problems (or in general...who does?), so don't worry about testing blue side. Edit: Unfortunately, the fix will work equally well or poorly on both sides, though this is obviously unfortunate.

But if you don't take care of the Blue side whose going to stop the Feline Foundation from taking out your satellites!

According to your signature:
"Due to payment of an undisclosed amount of catnip, and the return of the Catnip Hour, the Kitty collective has called off all hostilities against Television."

No longer a threat. Besides, I played that arc with a villain and it went great.

Drat. I Forgot about the Large Sums of Annoymous Catnip that were deposited in the Kollective's coffers.

No issues so far, Ran at various degrees of UM, my current live configuration is all max save the final slider which is off, running at 22 fps in RWZ

Currently with the same configuation I cannot ACCESS RWZ live unless I go in under Safe Mode, I've two characters trapped in there atm :P

Doens't seem to dislike any third party apps on my end, hero Stat or Vent or TS3..

Running Nvidia EVGA 250 GTS 512 with current build drivers.

Cimm and Atlas seem smooth as well...will continue testing..

I am really, really glad you brought this up! It has been a major point of confusion for a lot of people. There is a right way and a wrong way to read the Television. The right way is as follows:

1) begin by assuming/imagining the following text at the beginning of every Television post: "The screen flicks on. It shows an image of the most attractive programmer you have ever seen in your entire life. This guy is a Greek God of cool. You must either be watching some kind of reality show for impossibly gorgeous people or a documentary on one of the world's most brilliant minds (of all time)."

You can assume that part because I'm speaking in my programmer voice, and I'm pretty sure that's how people would describe me if they saw me on Television.

2) read whatever I put in my post as though it were in quotes. That's what the intimidatingly beautiful programmer on screen is saying. Try to read a little extra wit and charm into it, because I'd add those if I weren't so busy.

3) Finally, finish up with: "The programmer now turns his heart-breaking-ly beautiful gaze directly at you. Please, viewers, do not forsake your friend the Television or berate it with criticism of its role playing. Do not discriminate against the beautiful. No, you should embrace beauty by watching Television and the I17 graphics upgrade in CoV."

I think you misspoke. Obviously, with a programmer that sexy, you meant to say "come on." But it's okay, I'd be intimidated too if I were speaking to Adonis-made-flesh.

Now read the disclaimer in fine print at the bottom of the screen stating that the individual you have just seen is a paid spokesman and not an actual programmer.

Wait! Why is pohsyb on the screen again?

Wait! Why would I read extra wit and charm into anything pohsyb says? He's already the epitome of wit and charm. And of kicking Neutra's backside in arcade games, but I digress.

Wait! How much exactly are you paying pohsyb to be your stand-in on the screen? I'm sure it's not enough.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

haha soo in relation to your post Television...

On live I am having HORRIBLE issues with losing connection - not crashing or anything - I can't do anything outside the game(vent is pushing it) if I want to stay connected and even that most of the time doesn't help.

Just got off ghost town test: went to various zones ( red and blue) killed in the streets, was going to do a mission with max spawns but decided not to. Did all of that with no issue, and was even running Chrome with YouTube going and vent going (with conversation). I decided to try my luck and brought up a second account on test. Had the both accounts going doing things using various graphics options -- everything went well.

Sooo from the looks of it seems my issue was resolved -- which is a big uh.. YAY!

I just have to say that I think Television's posts are pretty much the only "enjoyable" (as in entertaining) dev posts on the boards when BaBs is on break... I like it when he speaks "in character," because none of the other Devs technically do that.

It's unique. Learn to love it, people.
