And I send TJ my apologies as well for my part on the DA site. I'd love to see him come back and get to know us passionate peeps here. We don't always agree and have some really interestingly passionate discussions, but in the end, we are still friends. And when one of ours is attacked and/or insulted by someone that we don't know, we have a tendency to circle the wagons and stand with our friends. So if TJ decides to rejoin us, we would definitely do the same for him! Please come back.

Yes the above may be "just a joke," but comes off as rather catty, snarky and like you are indeed having fun at someone else's expense. But yeah, you're right...I butted my nose in where it didn't belong. Sorry, I can't help but be compelled to try to be a peacekeeper...it's part of my personality. I'll remove said nose, move along and stop pestering everybody involved.
Honestly, this is much ado about nothing. A gift is precisely that. If you're expecting something in return then it's not a gift. Yes there are certain standards for politeness when someone gives you something, but you don't make an issue of it. If the person doesn't reciprocate well ...you're free to take them off you friend's list, gift list, xmas list, whatever.
What does this have to do with the rest of the art community? TJ bumped his head and didn't want to say thank you right away. I got a Thunderbird from my uncle when I was in high school and I didn't thank him for 3 years. 3 YEARS! But finally I went over and did it. And now it's all good. Actually, it's not..that side of the family is completely dysfunctional. But whatever!

Actually I think everyone will point out if I meant a off handed slight at someone im painfully obvious about it (as in i'll go right for the throat and take my temp ban without complaint )..I really don't do the puddy footing around , in this case I was at work saw I had gift art, posted a quick thanks and figured id give comments on DA (I love logging into DA and seeing I have comments and im quite sure the other artists do to )
If anyone thinks my entire waking day revolves around them they are pretty effing sad
god are we really gonna have to walk on eggshells in the hopes someone thats not even posting here won't be offended and return and when they do return we will have to continue using kids gloves with them so they don't storm off again .
Gahhh look I bump heads with a few of the regulars on the art forum here every other month , I push , they push back , shia or mod 8 tell me to take a breather yadda yadda yadda .
And both partys then move on
we don't stalk people over DA , we don't write threatening letters , we don't pick up our ball and run home and we don't send someone else to speak on our behalf and try to clean up our messes .
the art forums are open to everyone but geesh if your so thin skinned by people having oponions or the though of having personality clashes scares you to the depth of your being then I can honestly say the internet is likely not for you .
.....you know im trying to be nice here as LJ really does want to give this guy a chance but man o man it feels like im chewing on bottles and piddling out broken glass sometimes .
He's welcome to come back into these parts, though if he does, I will be waiting. One of the things I least respect is not fighting the battles you initiate. TJ clubbed the bees' nest and then ran, knowing full well what would happen. If he gets stung because he came back for seconds, it'll be his own fault.
The only thing that I get from your postings, Manoa, is that you are by far a better person than he.
