Thursday Hami Raid - Important pls read

tl;dr - nukes & shivs & hvas & EoEs


Thursday at 9edt.

Here's the catch, we need as many people as possible with the warburg nukes and shivs.

If only 10 people show up with 'em, ain't gonna happen.

If you want to help out but aren't sure how to get the nukes or shivs, contact me via pm or in-game and I'll help you out.

NOTE: Consider this an experiment. If it doesn't work this way, then it ain't gonna happen with greens borked atm. No whining.

I doubt we have adequate EoEs redside to burn on an experiment.

If you're thinking about doing a fast raid on hami, you're probably going to need to make sure everyone has adequate knockback protection as well.

Slotting IOs for kb, like zephyrs and karmas etc will be good, as well as using the base buff station for kb protection before the raid gets started.

Kinetics should also be on hand to hand out ID to the shivans and heavies to maximize their usefulness once the spawns get deployed.

A bubbler or two would be good to avoid squishies needing anti mez buffing.

Fallout would be useful as well. Dunno if enough stacked Leadership/Vengeance/Magus would work but worth a shot.

Edit: One more thing. You might have to do an EoE count since the AH is down (still?). Without the ability to buy EoEs you may have to set up a farm date to have EoEs on hand.

People have asked what's basically needed and convinced me that I can't expect to skate this thing and collect the groupies.

So, here it is.

Everyone with the 3 warburg nukes, shivs, hvacs (really good), and eoes (about 3 per person).

A couple of kins with ID because it turns out, not everyone puts 3 kb IOs on all their squishies.

3 or 4 dark fenders.

6 quality tanks with breakfrees and eoes.

Yellow mitos and hami will be taunted away from the mob of heroes. Said mob will smite hami and continue to smite hami, eating an eoe when instructed or when their EoE starts to flash. Hami shall be smoted until he be twain, but only after the number 3 be reached. (Tanks should think about getting a hit in at some point)

Under no circumstances shall Hami be smitten, unless it is with Mrs. Hami.

After, groupies form a line.

the wb nuke-nuke is mostly worthless for this endevour.

I've been told that I have selfishly not attributed sources to my guide.

Thus, I do the following:

1) Quatermain has been invaluable in crunching the numbers and deciding the precise ratio of what AT/Powerset is required for this endeavor. If you have questions, I encourage you to send him a tell or find him in game and ask him to tell you how the i8 Hami was more fun.

2) Pumbumbler has been critical in pointing out the various technical flaws in my plan. To wit, he said that he has a stranglehold on all the groupies and is unwiling to release any of them without recieving a PM or in-game tell from a prospective groupie saying, "THE TIME IS NOW! I think that enri is twice the toon you are." Help me out. Help me out.

3) Jenny Lewis contributed a candy cane strategy that I was unfortunately forced to reject. I ask, plead and urge all of you reading to email her a candy cane - global is the same as the name.

I have a few questions as I've never done the nuke strategy before. If I'm available for Thursday nights raid I'm currently planning on bringing my Stone tank with a full load of EoE's.

If I'm on the Yellow Aggro team does having Shivans, HVAS or Nukes make sense? And if so, which of the nukes would be better for this? Will they be viable for doing any damage to Hamidon if I'm out on the perimeter taunting? It also sounds that unlike a typical Hamidon raid there won't be a specific Yellow Damage team killing off the Antibodies, is this correct?

If I have the time I shouldn't have an issue getting the Shivans and some Nukes, but I'm not sure I've got the Vanguard Merits for the HVAS on my stoner.

I'm certainly no expert on this, but in my mind, it would make sense. By the end of this thing, you're going to have four Yellow Mitos on you. I think any kind of diversion would help.

Are mitos affected by cage powers? If so, getting some grav/dark love on them might be a decent way towards keeping some mitos (greens and yellows I would guess) at bay while hami gets whacked.

Too much kitten herding for too little gain I think.
edit: many kittens to one mito to have an effect

EoE, regen and (never thought I would say this) rocking the aura should keep everyone alive as long as it goes quick.

Okay to summarize, no would take too long to sum up:

Enri taunting Hami

Tanks Taunting Yellow Mitos (raiders not killing any, Tanks just distracting them)

Raiders into the goo and wail on Hami

Pop EoE as called for by Raid Leader or when flashing

Nukes of appropriate kind when called for by Raid Leader

Pets/HVAS/Shivans summoned when called for by Raid Leader

All raiders, except Taunting Tanks, should be focused on bashing Hami

Does that pretty much sum it up? Any additions, clarifications, or something I missed?

Well as much as I would love to make a zerg raid I have PvP matches tonight Even the failed zerg Hery did was fun when the entire raid wiped i was cracking up. When i get home tonight I will try to put in global channels to get nukes and shives and lead a team/assist if needed.
