Discussion: The Anniversary Celebrations Continue With More Community Events!

You learned about a community created anniversary podcast yesterday…but that’s just the beginning! There are all kinds of ways CoH players are celebrating our game turning another year older. Check out all these different types of content and activities being created by the community for the community in honor of CoH’s 6th birthday!

Samuraiko’s 6 Year Anniversary Video!

Dark_Respite has graced us with yet another of her amazing videos! Her 6th Year Anniversary creation focuses on no less than 20 events that shaped the City of Heroes® world going all the way back to April 28th, 2004. All the game’s issues and expansions are covered in this in this in-depth video retrospective that is sure to entertain! Go here to view it.

Listen and Win on The Cape Radio!

The Cape Radio has gotten into the Anniversary spirit as well. They are giving away your choice of in-game costume code every day during one of their live shows up until the 26th of May. But you never know which show…so you need to listen to win! The Cape is always a fun listen, and their in game events on the Virtue server are always a blast so check them out! The Liberty Server has it going on this anniversary!

If you want to check out the new Task Force content in Issue 17: Dark Mirror, you could try the Sisterhood Sunday - Special Anniversary Edition, where they plan to get as many folks through the newly improved Positron Task Force as is superpossible!

If keeping Earth safe from the Rikti menace is more your cup of tea, then you’ll probably want to check out the Alpha and Omega RWZ Challenge, which will include a 6th Anniversary Costume Contest.

There is great stuff happening on all the servers, so go take a look at the server forums on the Official City of Heroes Message Board to get in on the action.

Supergroups in the Press!

Two of our Super Groups were recently featured in an article on Massively. In honor of the anniversary, both ICONS (on Victory) and Fusion Force (on Triumph) have been active for 6 years and shared with Massively some of their thoughts on the game and what it’s been like to be part of the community since the beginning! Take a look at the article, it’s definitely worth a read!

Just watched your video Sam.....it's awesome (as usual). If I wasn't already a player, watching your videos would certainly peek my interest in the game. IMHO, Paragon Studios needs to hire you as part of their promotional team so you can get paid for all these wonderful videos that you keep making.

A great video to help celebrate the 6th anniversary. I have really enjoyed playing this game, even if I'm still relatively new. The videos show how very awesome this game really is, and all the community events add to the overall experience. Keep up the great work, Dark_Respite, and everyone else, that help pull our community together and bring others to join us.

Right at the 3:00 mark there is a large wood door with a tree carved in it. Over the door it says DE GEN. Where is that? Is that in Eden somewhere?

Oh... you know. I think that might be the one zone I've never been to. Time to fix that I think.

Well, if the comments on the YouTube version of the video are any indication, it seems a lot of players really enjoyed it! Glad you guys got a kick out of it, and enjoyed the trip down memory lane.
