ran the update and game will not load. says CityOfHeroes.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. get the same message even in safe mode

suggestions? have seen a couple of similar threads but they all dealt with having Intel on board graphics. I am running a Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX, SB X-Fi sound, and have never had any issues with the game loading and running.

What is your graphics driver version?

if I am finding it correctly in the device manager area of the control panel, it would be: 6.14.10.9794

8.573 should be Catalyst 9.1 : http://developer.amd.com/drivers/ccc/Pages/default.aspx

That's also a year old. Update your drivers please.

Go to www.amd.com for your drivers.

Go here:

http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

Select your OS in the first box, Select "Integrated/Motherboard" in the second box, Select "Radeon 3200 Series" in the third box. Hit Go.

You should see the Catalyst 10.4 drivers available there.

Thanks! Trying to do this now but cannot find whether or not I have series PCIe or AGP. Any idea where I can find this information?

Since it is integrated into the motherboard, it should not matter. When does it ask you for this information?

Nevermind, Tex. Was looking under card and not intergrated. Thanks for the information!

Currently running an nVidia GeForce 9500 GT, driver version 197.45.

I just want you to know that you got CoX to stop freezing on the "Loading" bar for me. Thanks!

Now if I could get the game to look right...

(I did, the ambient occlusion does weird things)
