    If you've been unable to connect to the Live servers since Issue 17 launched, especially if you've found you can still connect to Test no problem, or you've been finding some generally poor quality graphics, try this:

    Go into your City of Heroes installation directory, and yank out your settings folder (should be the folder named after your login), along with your Costumes, PowerCust, Missions, and Custom_Critters folders, then give it a shot.

    It just might work for you... certainly worked here!

    We're also having the same issue here on one PC, able to log into Test, but not able to connect to Live.

    Currently running an nVidia GeForce 9500 GT, driver version 197.45.

    OK, I rarely ever post, but I really have to throw my 2 cents in here.

    Look... some folks go off about beta testers being some kind of 'elite few that get preferential treatment from the devs'. In reality, beta testing is like JURY DUTY. Granted, you get to see a bunch of cool stuff that you want to tell your friends but can't, but you also see a lot of ugly stuff (bugs) that need to be located, reported, and fixed before the issue/expansion/what-have-you is ready to go live and get ripped to pieces by the community Verucas. Ultimately, beta testing is work for the community. SO... for some of you out there who take issue about not being invited, try to consider a different view, k? Thanks!
