Thugs Bruiser and Rage: Does it really make a difference?

I've enjoyed leveling my thugs/dark up to lvl 35 last night and the additional powers and flair of the set have given me an enjoyable MM experience I haven't had since my bots/poison.

Other than the ever-dying arson, I can't seem to tell how much Fury my bruiser is gaining to notice a big difference in his attacks. I have tried monitoring Fury through his combat attributes but the bar never seems to go very high.

Can anyone offer any comments on this?

I just ignore the fact he has fury. If it builds up, great. But he's good either way.

I hardly ever see his fury get over 50%, so it's clearly not as powerful as a real brute.

I've never really noticed it do much of anything, but I don't really monitor it either.

you cant moinitor the pet combatattributes (damage, to hit chance, ...)
if you want to see them, you have to open the combat-attributes-window with rightclicking on the pet and getting combat info

otherwise the monitoring will only show your (damage, to hit chance, ...)

His attack cycle is just plain too terrible to build and sustain a high amount of Fury - he spends too much time just standing there and waiting for his next attack to recharge.

This was made worse when they made +Recharge not affect pets anymore.

So yeah, I tend to pretend it doesn't even exist.

Depending on what you have him doing Rage can build quite a bit...if you race him from mob to mob, or tank AV's/EB's with him. I use KoB as my metric to see how my rage is fairing. Make a note of the default dmg it deals, then compare it to when his rage should be built to a reasonable level.

I think it makes a huge difference. As you can see YMMV.

Idk. I was doing /FF, so the AV's always ran and I'd have to chase them.
