Bashful Banshee's 1/4 Billion AE Bank Heist Challenge
Very cool BB! I'll play every one of 'em.
Awsome idea BB! Look forward to seeing the turnout on this!
CyraxMS
Well I think you 2 should make one and get the ball rolling.
Enjoy your day please.
i could possibly make one, but i only play on victory so i wont be able to get money until you can just email it
Well I think you 2 should make one and get the ball rolling.

Really cool contest though!
NecroTech's comment made me think.
So Rule #7...You need to have a lvl 20 on Justice to claim the prize. Whether its on red or blue I could care less. I just need to see you. Sounds fair?
While I do really want to support the AE system I also want to broaden the AE base on Justice specifically.
I guess though Necro, if you want to come hang out on Justice and run up to Stamina with us you are more then welcome to join the contest.
At some point in the next couple of days I will go up to the first post and clean it up a bit. Or maybe I'll just leave it. Sounds so much easier to do that.
Anyways thats it for now. Look forward to seeing what you come up with. I fully expest LSK to have a group of Bikinni clad ninjas.
Bashful Banshee
Enjoy your day please.
i could possibly make a toon on justice, but i have no other toons on that server and would prolly rarely play it, so would have to get someone to PL the toon to at least 20
im not a really good story writer anyway lol, but i could definitly make a fun mish lol, so if this is gonna take place only on justice, then i guess ill pass this one
Hm. If I have time in the next week or so, I think I've got an interesting idea for a one mission bank heist.... might take a bit of work though.
I'll let you know.

Well you totally have to write one for the contest Fem. That would be so neat. I'm thinking of pushing the end date back a few days just because. Not sure maybe an extra 3 or 4 days.
On Friday there should be a refined initial post for you. Come take a peek and let the creating begin. And Thank you.
Bashful Banshee.
Enjoy your day please.
Well, for better or for worse, here's my entry:
"Bloodthirsty Bozos Besiege Brickstown Bank!"
by @Prodigal Hart
Arc ID #399428
It's nice to (sort of) get involved in the community on Justice again. It has been a long time. I'm still fairly inexperienced with AE, too, so if anyone has feedback that could help me improve or refine my work, I'd be glad to hear it.
I'm not sure it's 100% compliant with the rules of this contest, but once I clicked on the "fight a boss" objective, the rest of the story sort of came to life and wrote itself. I could tweak it a little if you think I should, B_B.
I hope you enjoy it. Writing it was fun.
Hi again. So its Friday night now and I'm here with my cat. SO far have had one entry so far. Look right above. Fun little run. Pictures to follow.
Decided to push the contest date back to April 27. SO people have a little more time to come up with something.
It would be nice if the arcs are set for a specific lvl range, similar to the bank missions. Think thats a new rule. Well maybe not a rule per se, but more of a guidleine.
Thanks for stopping by. Looking forward to hearing from some of you.
Bashful Banshee.
Oh yeah, before I forget I wanted to say that if any of you want to see the kind of thing I like take a look at the first miss of Arc #378442. Its only a 2 parter but it starts with a bank heist and has some cute kitties. Has a good message too. Well I think so.
And yes I know that "The very first word in the mission intro text is a spelling error." It is a hold over from when to change 1 word put me over the file size. I lost a LT so now I have room to fix the text but am just being lazy
And please don't ask 'So whats the deal with the Sheena Easton song?" Just struck me as funny at the time.
Thanks once again. If anything else pops into my brain I will come and edit.
Bye for now Bashful Banshee.
Enjoy your day please.
I've got a bank heist arc that I wrote a long time ago:
Too Many Santas
#351483
The problem with the bank maps is that they're so small: when you run at +0/x8 you hit the map ticket limit for the mission ticket bonus. For this reason, the first mission in this arc works best at +0/x4 or x5 in terms of ease of completion vs. ticket bonus.
Hi Rodion. Thank you for the submission. Unfortunately it exceeds the 1 mission legth.
Neat santas though.
But please feel free to put in a new one.
Bashful Banshee.
Enjoy your day please.
Does the alignment matter?
Like do you only want to STOP the bank heist or can you have the player be the thief?

I'll start working on mine tonight. I have an idea that might work.

Hi again. It's Tuesday afternoon and I wanted to give you an update.
SO I decided that multiple mission arcs would be fine as long as the very first mission is a bank heist. That means Rodion is back in and srry about that. I'm rude sometimes.
Hi Ninth Cloud. SOunds good. If you want me to be robbing the bank instead thats fine. Been playing with red side ATs in eager anticipation of Rogue. Right now I'm thinking my Fire/Dark Corruptor (or is it Dark/Fire) will make it over.
Yaa for Arwen. Look forward to running yours.
Ooh. Hey Tubbius. You should make me 'Waddle Hates Commerce'. Waddle could be out to destroy the green paper people keep asking him for.
SO keep those stories coming. Think I made the cutoff Sunday Night. My Sunday Night but not neccessarily yours. I should probably check that but I won't. Could someone do that and let me know? Much Appreciated and thanks once again.
Bashful Banshee.
Enjoy your day please.
OK went and checked. It was the 27th for the end date, buit that seemed like a silly choice. SO now it is the 28.
Thank you.
Bashful Banshee.
Enjoy your day please.
So with three days left, well 4 if you include today, I look forward to the last minute entries to start rolling in. Or maybe trickle in is a better choice.
Time is growing short. Your chance to win 250,000,000 Influnence or a shinie that is sitting around my base is waiting for you.
Come join the AE revolution. Create the arc that rekindles the excitement of player created stories.
Bashful Banshee.
Enjoy your day please.
Hi again, it's me.
So with just what's left of today and tommorow night we come to the end of this contest. As it stands we have two entries :
Arc # 399428 Bloodthirsty Bozos Besiege Brickstown by @Prodigal Hart
and
Arc # 351483 Too Many Santas by @ Rodion
Good luck to you both and let us hope you get some competition in the remaining few hours.
Thanks,
Bashful Banshee.
Enjoy your day please.
Hi everyone. SO the contest is officially closed. Bogged down at work so it will take me a couple of days to put in the photos and declare the winner, so stay tuned.
Oh yeah..Hack in just 2 more days. Yaaaa for Cai.
Bashful Banshee.
Enjoy your day please.
Hi there. This is long overdue and I apologize to all, especially our 2 entrants.
The winner of the 1/4 Billion influence prize is to Prodigal Hart with his clowns in Arc # 399428 Bloodthirsty Bozos Besiege Brickstown.
Here is a couple of shots I took, not necessarily good ones, but pictures none the less.
Second place goes to Rodion with Arc # 351483 entitled 'Too Many Santas.' And there were a lot of santas too. Unfortunately I didn't get a screen shot but rest assured they looked like Santa. Don't believe me? Run the arc and see for yourself.
Rodion will be taking home a recently crafted Lvl thirty something Luck of The Gambler +Recharge. I can't recall the exact level, thinking maybe 32 but I'm probably wrong.
Third prize I'll just keep to myself but it was a good one.
If Prodigal Hart and Rodion could please PM with their in game Globals I will happily send them their prize. I am having problems staying connected right now but have faith. You will get your prizes.
I can't say that I wasn't a little dissapointed that I only got 2 entries but thats ok. In all honesty it was 2 more then I thought I would get.
Take a second and look into the stories being created in AE. Lots of good stories. Yes a lot of crap, but a lot of gems as well. Pop over to the AE section under 'For Fun' and pick a well received story. You might surprise yourself and be inspired to write one yourself.
I'm sure I'll run another challenge at some point. I hope you join in once again.
Bashful Banshee.
Oh yes, before I forget.
Coming Summer 2010 'Rumble in Warburg' a PvP Event.
Enjoy your day please.
Congrats to the winners! I feel really bad that I didn't get an entry in. I just didn't have time to write one.

Thanks, Bashful Banshee, for naming my arc the winner of your contest, and for posting screenshots. It's nice to see my clowns in the forums.
I'm glad you held this contest. It was something very short and simple and fun, and that was the motivation I needed to sit down with the architect and publish something. If it had been something much more involved and complex, I wouldn't have had the time or a good enough idea to enter. But I had fun writing this little story and got some nice feedback from you and a couple of my friends who played it. So thank you once again.
But I cannot in good conscience accept first prize in a competition when there was so little competition. I can't help but think that you had hoped to get more for your quarter billion purse, more bank heists to thwart, more custom critters to fight, and more of the sort of drama and excitement that can only come from a heated competition.
I, too, was a little disappointed that more people didn't enter the contest. I was hoping that I'd have more custom mobs to fight, more unforseen twists, and a greater sense of being involved in a community event on Justice.
So I'd like to ask that you hold on to the quarter billion influence, Bashful Banshee, and put it toward future community events here on Justice. I think that perhaps the timing was just a little off on this contest, with i17 dropping and summer not quite being here.
Perhaps later, when the bugs of i17 have been ironed out, and summer rolls around and people have more time to play, and more people reactivate their accounts to participate in Going Rogue, the timing will be better for lots of people to get involved in community events. So please save the quarter billion influence and put it to use promoting something else at a later time.
But once again, I thank you for holding your contest and for playing my arc and for the feedback you gave me. I hope you had fun, as I certainly did. To everyone else who might be checking into this thread, I'll leave my mission up until I have good reason to take it down. So if you want to see the Commedia Sanguinosa, then by all means try to stop that robbery!
Cheers.
Thanks Chaos. Kind of you
Enjoy your day please.
Hi there. So with recent nerfs to AE (yet again) I am growing concerned that interest will drop even more then the current low. I know their are lots of great authors out there on Justice, have even ran some of your arcs. I am looking for the rest of you (although the authors I have already discovered are free to participate as well.)
To that end I am holding an AE Bank Heist Challenge. It is simple enough. Create a 1 mission AE Arc that involves a bank robbery (or a jewel heist if you prefer just to add an option .)
What I am really looking for is a neat villian group in a familiar setting. 1 Boss, 1 LT, and a bunch of Minions that some how have a common theme. Whether the theme is costume, powers, having 7 letters in their name doesn't really matter. Perhaps they all like to sing Neil Diamond songs as they go about their nefarious business. Whatever you like really, as long as its neat. (Psssst, I really do like costumes.)
Rules? Well yeah, there have to be rules. Mine will be pretty simple. They can't be SOOOOOO overpowered that my Tank is mauled in the first 3 seconds. That always makes her mad. I do want something in the mission briefings and dialogue from the baddies is always a plus. Having things in their descriptions is also nice. Basiclly I want a one-shot story with a new enemy. Hopefully I will get a bunch of interest in this so try to make yours stand out.
Beyond that, just do your best. Put in whatever extras you think are fun. If there are spelling errors, well, it happens. Try to limit them to 412 if you can.
The top prize will be 250 million Influence, while 2 and 3rd prizes are a shiny from my base. All prizes will be awarded on Justice Blueside only as thats where I play.
The contest will start now, whatever day it might be (April 12 I believe) and end April 27 (of this year.) That should be enough time to come up with something neat.
Oh yeah, no allies please.
Thats about it. Thank you for coming out and happy hunting.
Bashful Banshee
EDIT : Oh yeah. Just toss the name of the arc, ID # or your Global in this thread so I can run off to play your arc. Thanks again.
CONTEST RULES just for clarities sake.
1 mission arc centered around a bank heist.
Custom baddies somehow connected by theme (name, costume, background, hair colour, whatever.)
Set a lvl range similar to the blue side bank missions please. Chaos STring is a special case though as he was here before the lvl range was specified.
No Allies in arc.
Must have a verifiable lvl 20 something on Justice Blue side or red.
Prizes will only be awarded on Justice Blue.
Contest Ends April 28, 2010.
Think thats it. If not I'll let you know.
Bashful Banshee
Enjoy your day please.
