Yes there are other people having this problem. There was a thread already started about it, but it must have been either deleted or moved to the CB forums by the mods.
And I'm wondering how deleting or moving the thread helps...
Here you've got people with an existing/continuing problem and can't find an existing discussion of it?
Yeah I'm wondering if anyone can help with this too. I'm not in Closed but I want the client running correctly so I can dive right into it when it goes Open.

I was able to create a DS MM, but the character creation was a giant PITA with no cursor, and then it only took a few moments in-game to decide it was more frustration than it was worth.
Having this problem also on both advanced graphics settings and normal. Nvidia 250 GTS-1GB DDR is the card. I get the Hand (Use) icon when hovering cursor over door, but it is untextured. This happens in both Color and Compatability mode.

Any issues you experience while in the CB must be posted in the CB forums; that is where they post, that is where they look for feedback. This forum is for when the CB goes Open. Until then do not post here if your problem is related to the CB, unless it involves getting the test client up and running or some such as the thread will be removed (eventually).

There have been instances during previous betas (that I know of definitively) where players could get on the Test server, some had even received their email (although some still hadn't) and they couldn't see they Closed Beta forums.
The instructions they were given at that time was to contact one of the forum mods so that they could do whatever voodoo they do and enable the player to access those forums properly.
I'd assume that it would be the same protocol during this CB, so fire off a PM to Avatea or theOcho and let them know that even though you can sign in to the Test server you aren't seeing the CB forums. You may want to ask them to clean up any posts containing CB information (including that you are in CB) at the same time.
A saying I recall from the original beta went something like:

Quick fix: Play the game in Windowed Format
Here is how to play in Windowed Format:
Log onto Test Server
(Either copy one of your characters onto test server, or create a new one)
Once logged in;
Open Menu
Scroll down and select Options
Select Graphics and Audio
Under Graphics
Select Windowed under Screen/UI Resolution
Select Apply now
Close Options Screen/Menu
Log off
Re-log on for effect to work
Enjoy playing with a mouse cursor on the test server!
