SG Looking For Arcs to Play!
Try my new (and first) 4 mission canon related arc: Questionable Ethics
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=215674
Good story, dialogue, and interesting missions. Custom built bosses with unique costumes.
Of my arcs (full details in the links below) I would say that The Golden Age Secret of the Paragon Society fits perfectly. You can check out the details of the others to see if anything catches your eye, but that one should be a nice fit for your group.
WN
Check out one of my most recent arcs:
457506 - A Very Special Episode - An abandoned TV, a missing kid's TV show host and more
416951 - The Ms. Manners Task Force - More wacky villains, Wannabes. things in poor taste
or one of my other arcs including two 2010 Player's Choice Winners and an2009 Official AE Awards Nominee for Best Original Story
I'm always looking for feedback on my "Galactic Protectorate" arcs, and I would be very interested in seeing how the experience differs for an RP Supergroup as opposed to the usual individual reviews I've gotten thusfar.
Now, I'm not entirely sure if my arcs match your criteria, so let me go down your "preferences list":
- Be Heroic
My arcs are all labeled "Neutral", and there's probably more than one occasion throughout the arcs where your SG members will be doing things that are more "gray" than "white", but I think that, overall, my arcs tend to lean much more towards" heroic" acts than "villainous" ones (but then again, I'm probably biased)
- Accomodate a Team Experience
Based on the feedback I've gotten, the general consensus regarding the custom enemies in my arcs is that they are challenging, but nowhere near the "impossible" levels many other custom enemies are. Admittedly, however, most of the feedback is coming from my own personal experience and people who solo'd the arcs, so I'd be interested in seeing how the experience changes for a 6-8 person SG team.
- Occur within the CoH Setting
The "Galactic Protectorate" arcs all take place in an alternate Paragon City with most maps being "ruined" locations of the usual districts of Paragon, so if by "CoH Setting" you meant "doesn't take the player to World War II Europe or a fantasy-themed land", I think you'll find this fits the criteria.
- Be Story Focused
In spades. Note, however, that while most of the "Galactic Protectorate" arcs are self-contained, there is a linear overarching storyline, so if your SG decides to run one (or all) of the arcs, it would be best to run them in numerical order.
- Not be a Downer
For the most part, yes. Only one (maybe two, depending on your point of view) of the arcs end on a downer, but most of the others end on a pretty triumphant note. Of course, different players might interpret the events of the arcs differently, which is something I'm also interested in seeing.
- Mid to High Level
All of "The Galactic Protectorate" arcs are for level 40-50 Heroes or Villains, with enemies being between Levels 40-54. As long as all of the SG members in the team are within the level range, you should be fine.
- Canon Related
As I mentioned above, the arcs take place in an alternate reality, so while the arcs don't "violate" canon, many signature characters have different personalities/backstories due to being "alternate" versions of the heroes you're used to. As long as you treat the setting of the arcs like you would any other alternate dimension (like Praetoria), I don't think you'll have a problem.
- A Light and/or Humorous Delivery (but not Out-and-Out Goofy)
Unfortunately, while there are some light-hearted moments/dialog throughout the arcs, for the most part the Galactic Protectorate arcs are pretty serious (at least I like to think so; several players have given me feedback saying otherwise ). I hope this doesn't deter your SG too much
- Stuff the "A List" heroes might consider "beneath their pay grade"
I'm... not entirely sure what you mean by this. If you mean high-level heroes stopping muggings in the street, rescuing cats from trees, etc., there's really none of that in these arcs. I supposed you could say "investigating one of the many dimensions the A-List Heroes don't have the time to investigate themselves", though
Anyway, each "Galactic Protectorate" arc is 3 missions long, so maybe you could run one or two arcs just to see if they're the right "fit" for your SG, and then decide if you want to run the rest? Even if you decide to run just one of the arcs, I'm grateful for any feedback your SG can provdie

Give any of mine a go and let me know what you think. Links in my sig (click the pic for the arc u want)
Teen Phalanx Forever! (arc id #67335) should definitely qualify as a mid-level, lighthearted heroic story arc suitable for a team.
One possible risk for an RP supergroup is that, you wouldn't necessarily be RPing your character -- you'd be RPing a teen sidekick of your character. Depending on the player, that might be either too much of a stretch, or lots of fun; hoping you'll find it to be the latter.
@PW - Police Woman (50 AR/dev blaster on Liberty)
TALOS - PW war journal - alternate contact tree using MA story arcs
=VICE= "Give me Liberty, or give me debt!"
The following arcs are heroic and ought to fit the bill.
The Portal Bandits (#3326) - Lvl 40-50
Breaking the Barrier (And Putting it Back Together) (#347029) - Lvl 40-50
All Consuming (#261148) - Lvl 20-25
The Amulet Of J'gara (#1709) - Lvl 25-33

"Well, we tried to get Ms. Liberty to round up the Gutter Gang, but she got called away all a'sudden. So, we went to Mynx, and she said she had a family emergency--Grandma trippin' on acid or somethin'--but... she saw fit to mention you before high-tailin' it. Heh heh. See what I did there? Yeah.
Anyway, I figure we start with The Sludge, because we got a lead on his location. Assuming that pans out--didjya catch that? I did it again, heh heh--we can then go after Drainpipe and Doctor Septic...
...Hey, you got appropriate protective gear, right? Because I didn't requisition any..."
Or...
Are you the hero person I've been asking for? Oh, I do hope so. I do, I do! I've been calling those FBSA offices for days! Oh, thank heavens you're here, dear. You see...
*whisper* There are monsters in my attic. *whisper*
Oh, yes, I've had the police over. But they never find anything! So, clearly, the creatures can turn invisible! Oh, they have my poor Miss Muffincakes in such a state! Oh! Come out, Muffywuffy and meet the nice hero people!
...
You see? She won't come out! She's so afraid! It's dreadful!
You'll get rid of those creatures for us, won't you? Oh, of course you will! I'll put the kettle on for tea...
...stuff like that. And then if such dubious beginnings lead into genuinely serious threats, all the better.

Mine fit that then, the first two are a case of the contact calling you since you're a level 40 hero with a reputation for getting things done and the other two are a case of you happening to be the first one on the scene of something that turns out to be much larger.
I have two arcs you might want to check into. Although I think they're both marked neutral, they both tend to lean heroic in terms of story, especially the first one listed.
My arc TOO MANY BUNNY GIRLS! might fit your needs, but it can be pretty goofy, so it's sort of borderline, you might look at the description here http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=190964 and decide for yourself.
My arc Against The WickerWork Khan! isn't too goofy but might not qualify for the "not-A list" modifier. You could check it out a bit more in depth if you'd like to here: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=203192
Thanks for your consideration.
#1589, Of Mentors and Legacy, should fit your bill I think. 35-50, heroic, story focused, and plays better in team settings. Delivery isn't too cheery though, but not gritty and definitely no downer. Bonus points for being easy to fit into stories, as it has enough open endedness.

I wanted to thank your team for playing The Golden Age Secret of the Paragon Society. I appreciate the feedback and was very happy that you all enjoyed it.

P,S, - It's not my arc, but my husband did an arc based on my characters from that arc called "The New Paragon Society Reborn". In short, Sherman asks for your help in reforming the Paragon Society. If your group wants to team with Sherman again at some point, there is an option out there.
Check out one of my most recent arcs:
457506 - A Very Special Episode - An abandoned TV, a missing kid's TV show host and more

If you want to take a break and relax, try a game of Whack-a-Mole #2711, the best way to play on a team is to split up and race to see who can finish it first.
Alternatively, Matchstick Women #3369 is a dark, heroic story (as in the events are dark, not as in for a dark hero), though the mobs can be challenging in larger groups.
The Sleeping Star may be the sort of thing you're looking for.
Story Description: A young girl’s friend has gone missing, and she’d like you to help search for her.
Story Arc ID: 53951
Yes, one of my characters is in it, but I tried not to make the self-insert too annoying and so far all my reviewers agree, it's far from being a mary-sue. Hope you like it.
"The Hamidon is a what what of what?" - Brian the mission guy.
I have an arc that fits most of what you are looking for. The info is:
In Pursuit of Liberty - 344916 by @Gypsy Rose
I would love for your SG to play it and give me some feedback.
@Gypsy Rose
In Pursuit of Liberty - 344916
The Vigilante - 395861
Suppression - 374481 - Winner of The American Legion's February 2011 AE Author Contest
I think my Power From Out of Space arc (see sig below) might fit the bill. Heroic, designed to be light and fun, level 32-37. I haven't played it with a team myself, but I did get positive feedback from some teams. My wife's arc is designed to be heavy, so I wouldn't recommend it for your purposes.
My Arc: The Power From Out Of Space, ID# 64800
Mrs. Spoon's Arc: Shades of Betrayal, Acts of Salvation, ID# 59147
I got nuttin... I've read few arcs that are more serious, and bigger downers than mine. I just HATE not being able to reccommend my own stuff.
The SOLUS Foundation - a Liberty and Pinnacle SG
"The Consequences of War" - Arcs # 227331 and 241496
I've got two that might work for you. First is "From the Nadir to the Apex," all about what's happened to War Witch's crimefighting partner since her death. (Arc #6275) The second is my newest one, "A Scandal in Paragon City" which is loosely (extremely loosely) inspired by the Sherlock Holmes story "A Scandal in Bohemia." (Arc #392334)
Final Straw, DM/Regen Scrapper
Solari, Fire/Fire Blaster
Real Americana, MA/SR Scrapper
Task Force Timmy, Grav/Rad Controller
Astral Paragon, Spines/Regen Scrapper
Mr Drama King, Katana/Regen Scrapper
Psi-Stunner, Psi/Mental Blaster
I have an arc for you to try called Salvage Rights Arc#366579. It is written using one of my Unionverse villain groups, Humanity First, but this can easily be fudged for the Virtueverse setting (Virtueverse's Humanity First are a small obscure organisation explaining why the characters have never heard of them before.)
The arc has 4 story driven missions all in the level 35-54 range. The MA arc description is "Go to the Rikti War Zone and help the Vanguard stop the scavenging of Rikti technology." using Borea as a contact, so assuming one of your characters has Borea as an IC contact there is no reason she wouldn't put the mission their way. Also seeing as she's just looking for help in dealing with battlefield looters, the arc fits in with the "Stuff that "A List" heroes might consider "beneath their paygrade". "
Something I should point out is that although the arc is listed as having a neutral morality this is purely because the Vanguard accept assistance from both heroes and villains. The task itself does actually fall in the heroic category.
Should you want further information to enhance your RP experience I have wiki pages linked in my sig on Humanity First (All the group info etc), and for the arc itself.
Hmmmmm. They're not super duper challenging for teams, but you might enjoy my PENGUIN (29205) and PENGUIN Part 2: Waddle's Revenge (302196). Try them out.

Sadly, however, due to the latest "fix" to MA, it's very unlikely we'll be playing any more arcs. If we're going to get next to nothing for the effort, we might as well stick to the arcs we make for ourselves, designed specifically for our own characters and SGs (and the rare event).
Sorry, folks.
I'll still poke in this forum for appropriately-themed arcs when The Cape has an event going on (we got one coming up soon), but as far as general play goes, I'm completely done with AE.

We had a lot of fun with it, WN, thanks for creating it. It was pretty much spot on in terms of what we were looking for.

When/if the system ever actually meets its design criteria, I'll come back to it.

On SG night, we sometimes head into the AE building. So I'm looking for some arc recommendations. Team size is usually 6-8 and we're roleplayers.
Suggested arcs should:
- Be Heroic.
- Accommodate a team experience.
- Occur within the CoH setting.
- Be story focused.
- Not be a downer.
Preferences are:We'd like arcs that can be woven into the stories and experiences of our characters. They will be approached as actual events rather than as virtual simulations.
Thanks!
