Oddly, As you mention not wanting the Swords, Incinerate -> Scorch -> Cremate -> Scorch is one of the better DPS chains for Fire Melee, which offers good DPE and doesn't require hideous recharge.
And only one of those you need to wait for.
(something I didn't find out while actually leveling my Fire Melee scrapper, who was constantly seeking extra blue, what a difference hindsight makes eh?)
Here's an idea I toyed with for some time. I ended up doing something else so it isn't 100% finished. But it might help as a start.

I'm interested in this as well. I just started leveling up a Fire/Fire/Blaze character. I don't have much experience with Fire Armor. What's the general suggestion to build for with the Fire secondary? Recharge? Defense? Regen?
