This might help a lot
This has been suggested many times before (sometimes by me). It would need safeguards (like you could only have one such bid) or the marketeers currently limited by their slots (and I am one of these) would hoover up even more of the goodies.

That is true. I think this would have potential though to get a lot more people into IOs. I mean, I'm trying to get into it now but it seems pretty freaking hard until level 50. There just don't seem to be enough people selling recipes in the lower levels for you to actually be able to get what you want it seems. Then again maybe I'm just having trouble because I'm playing at such odd hours that I'm missing out on the high commerce hours.

Going for IOs at other than maximum level also helps, but sometimes they're just not available.
Just leave your bids in so they're working the high commerce hours even if you're not.

Something needs to be done. Especially if it's a high priced item. To leave 5, 50-100mil inf bids in "hopes" that someone gets one to sell across several diff pieces gets expensive.
Best bet imo, just farm AE tickets. I've gotten several sets of Kin Com, Oblits, Numinas, ToD for free just by farming AE. Not all farms are xploits either. Find a good farm, or make one and get yer stuph for free, like me. Bump WW.
Ice Storm: As Minotaur said, leave the bids up .
(see my sig.)
Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.
So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.
It would be nice to be able to place a single bid on a recipe over a range of levels. By this I mean, if I want Positron's blast: Damage/Range but I don't necessarily care about what the level is since a lot of the percentages are so close, I would like to be able to place a bid for one recipe from say levels 31-35.
The way it is now you either gotta place several bids in order to cover whatever level someone will end up getting and putting up for auction or you have to get really lucky and pick the right level. Not sure if I explained this adequately. Anyone else think this could help? -Ice_Storm |
I could leave multiple bids up, each for a single item of a slightly different level, but if more than one of those fill, I will feel it to be a waste.
As for limits to prevent Marketeers from hoovering up all the "good stuff"? Well, I'm not too concerned if one slot can already be up to ten items of a single level and the new bid is only one item (of a ten level range). Same either way to me.

Me, I don't see this being the kind of thing that hooks new marketeers. It seems to me to be much more of a tool for the people who already play it.

I like this suggestion...Took me nearly a week to get a lvl 29 Posi that I wanted for my controller. Of course I'm not suprised with all the new pistoleras running around. But still it would have been nice to put one bid out for something in the 25-30 lvl range. May have saved a bunch of time.
I understand that the market is undergoing some rennovations with going rogue so maybe this'll happen anyways but I've been thinking for a while of something that would help me a lot.
