Hover Change?

I've been gone for a while and I keep hearing that they upped the speed on Hover. I didn't seem to go much faster Hovering than my level 9 friend who had it unenhanced. What's the deal here?

Slot it up. 3 slots=21.3 (ish) miles per hour. It's never going to be as fast as super speed or something, and why should it, but it's definitely not nearly as agonizingly slow as it once was. I have many characters who quite comfortably hover all the time.

Edit- Also, level 9 is a bad time to judge how a power works slotted up since your friend still likely has Training Origin enhancements in his hover. At DO's you'll start noticing a difference and by SO's you definitely will.

It's also worth mentioning that nowadays, Swift takes Flight Speed enhancements as well as Run Speed ones. That's a big help for my Hoverers -- though they still use Fly to get across town. But it at least lets them Hover around a mission map and keep up with their non-airborne teammates.

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

Also, your base hover speed goes up with levels, i beleive (i know fly does). So level 9 is a really bad judge of its potential.

You'll still need an outside buff to reach max hover speed, but hovering while having speed boost applied is pretty fast!

Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)

As someone else who also came back after a while, yeah, Hover feels a LOT faster than it did before.
