Slotting Carrion Creepers

Just reached 26 on my Plant/Storm Controller and have been thinking about how to slot Carrion Creepers. I plan on maxing recharge, then some accuracy, but beyond that I don't know what works well for the power. What are some of the common slotting conventions for Carrion Creepers? Anyone have any combos they really like? It seems like it'd be a power that would be great for frankenslotting and procs.

I found slotting for damage was my best course of action. You're going to see the damage figures in a couple of ways. One is when the vines are whipping around. They are going to be attacking targets and most of the time taking aggro for it. It's not huge numbers, but it's nice when a couple of them are popping up at the same time, helping you take down large groups real fast. The other is when the bramble patch explodes off a corpse. If you have a large group all bunched close in, this is going to add additonal damage. I've had it take a couple of corpse, pop off brambles and take out the rest of the group of minions.

When I've slotted, I've used all 6 slots. My standard slotting for SO's is 1 - accuracy, 3 - recharge, 2 - damage.

Trap of the Hunter increases my Immob powers and gives me additional health points while increasing Accuracy - Recharge - Immob and reducing my Endurance cost. Detonation helps me resist sleep and energy damage while increasing my Damage - Recharge - Range and reducing my Endurance cost. There may be other ways of slotting I/O sets, but I do like the way this setup is working for me. I hope it helps.

I like the idea of damage procs to be honest. The damage it does is based on DoT damage, and low damage at that. I just would rather put procs in there instead. All the more so if your secondary offers -res since -res will boost the damage of a proc, but +dmg won't.

On my plant/storm I slotted mine to cap recharge, get a little damage boost and slot a couple of procs - he's level 36 and his current slotting is:

L34 det dam/rech
L34 Positrons blast dam/rech
L34 enfeebled operations acc/rech
L30 common recharge IO
Positron's blast chance for energy damage
Explosive strike chance for smashing damage

Obviously this is not an end game/L50 slotting but I get almost 50% damage boost, some accuracy just in case and 95% recharge.

Mine's frankenslotted for 85% accuracy, damage, and recharge, using level 30 IOs: Air Burst accuracy/damage and damage/recharge, Detonation accuracy/damage and damage/recharge, Enfeebled Operation accuracy/recharge, and Trap of the Hunter accuracy/recharge. Now that the character's getting near level 50, I'm looking into alternate slottings that reduce the endurance cost or let me fit a proc in.

I would probably go with 5 Positrons and an IO recharge. When I slotted it on my Plant/Storm sets were bugged and I haven't gotten around to reslotting it yet. I think they fixed the bug several months ago though so I'll be going with 5 Positrons(everything but the proc) and a recharge.

So, do you know the answer to the question I posted to your guide? Does Fulcrum Shift (or other damage buffs) work on Creepers? When is the best time to cast the buff? Will the buff on me pass down to the various pets, or do I have to wait until Creepers has been cast and spawned before using Fulcrum Shift?

(Just got Fulcrum Shift over the 2XP weekend and haven't had time to try it out.)
