Swiss Draw Tournament

Hey all-

I would like to set up a Swiss Draw tournament for Friday night (2/26/10) on Freedom server in order to earn that particular badge.

The tournament requires 8 to 64 players. I would prefer to keep it to 8, however a few extra won't hurt much. We'll take turns "winning" the tournament until we all have the badge.

I get out of work at 9pm, so I may be a little late, so maybe if we get more than 8 signed up, I can just take the place of whoever we appoint to get the badge first?

Since the free transfers are still going on, I might join you with my main badger from Champion.

Sorry, can't make it to Freedom. My Hero badge collector has invested too much time in her SG to leave just for a badge.

Maybe you can do a Traveling Swiss Draw, and visit each server? Um... with a new character, or one you don't care about transfering around.

Edit: Good idea Kheldarn. Maybe those of us who miss out tonight can try and organize another meetup. I'm willing to temporarily transfer for a badge, I've done it before.

I'd like to get this badge on Blazing Larb. I'll try to be there.

EDIT: if not enough people show up, advertising on the Freedom Badge channel will no doubt attract a few more.

Yeah, I tried joining "Freedom Badge" last night but it's full. I was hoping another one of the attendees would be a member of the channel and could broadcast it. I am going to advertise on some other channels.

OK, I am going to try and be there. Character will be Scarlet Spectress. Who do we look for as a contact, what character, CaptA?

I can't officially commit, but if I am able to be on tonight at 9, I'll jump over there.

And to think, I just transferred my badger back to Justice from Victory, after having gotten the 400 rep badge last night :-)

Looks like I was able to get a few more by asking on ULTRA. The plan is 9:30 EST tonight.

My global is @Dr. Feedback and the character I will be on is Powershift. I plan to be in the arena in Talos Island.

Thank you guys so much (and thanks to my awesome fiance), as now Scarlet has the badge, yay! I praise you with great praise.

I'd be more than happy to show up on another server or wherever and help out if other folks want to work on this. If you just need a filler, I can do that!

I would love to get in on this if it were going to be run on Virtue server. Sounds like that's a longshot, tho. Or, I'd probably do the server transfer to get it, as well. Too bad I didn't find out about it in time for the Freedom run.

Kheldarn and myself were able to run a successful Swiss Draw on the Guardian Server. If your able to get a team of eight on your server to run this there will be 3 rounds. Round one 8 enter 4 win, round two 4 enter 2 win, final round tournament winner and the badge awards. Like others have posted make sure you wait for the badge to award before you exit. There is a 2 minute timer between rounds, players will auto load into the Arena map. Good luck Badge Hunters!

Does this mean the Swiss Draw is finally working right. The last time I was on a group that tried to do this there was no sense to who advanced. People that won twice didn't advance to the final and people who lost in the 1st round did and got the badge.

Yeah, it worked fine for us Friday night.
