Redside zone support?

Was thinking of a /Pain corr geared toward support rather than damage. Here is a skeleton:

I've had 3 patrons on mine at some point. Leviathan was handy for hiber so i could have Leadership instead of Concealment, obviously Soul for PB and Soul storm (which was pretty lolzy at times) And i'm currently running mace for web.

All 3 have helped at some point but i do prefer having Mace (without FA) as i smile a little bit more every time someone rages because they're grounded. It's also a really effective way to escape if you're quick.

I would normally pick up perception without a second thought but because i'm stubborn, the build is tight and i can't fit it in. Plus, it's not essential if you are truly only playing the buffing role.

You know you're going be the target so you don't really need to see folk as they'll be behind you anyway.

Don't play support redside all you do is get farmed because you are the only thing Heros can see... Play a Stalker like everyone else

resistance armors also make a huge difference if you ever choose to 8v8 on that toon.

I do have a partially io´d stalker but beeiing the out of range when yoiu are 1 feet from them makes me mad.
And i want to try something else other than disruption and stalker.

I thought with DR shields gave such a small % change that they were almost laughable.

For AT's that don't get high pvp base resists (mostly the non-squishies) resist buffs still have a lot of value. These also tend to be the AT's that have a more generous DR curve for resists.

For AT's that do get high base resists and have an epic shield stacked on top of it, they're already at or so close to their resist cap that resist buffs are basically wasted.

I play MMs. I have yet to fight another MM in PvP, and I'm not sure how either my NInjas or Traps will do against more AoE heavy sets.

40% base resistance gets DR'd to something like 26-28%. Adding a resist-based epic shield on top of that changes it into 38-40%. That's like having an orange up all the time... while you can get higher than that, it takes a lot of buff stacking to do so and isn't really worth a spot on a team just for it.

Soooo.. Other than different opinions about epic pools theres nothing wrong with the other powerpicks right?
I´m pretty set on phase since i´m going to be the target alot and hibernate just invites people to camp me.

Yeah the power picks are fine. Can't really go wrong with a PD build as a lot of it is personal preference.

Unless of course you build one without Soothing Aura, then you've gone really wrong.
